Today is day 8 I think? I decided to take a bus route home to avoid the overcrowded trains I chose the wrong bus route It terminated about a 30 minute walk from my car I walked those 30 minutes Haven't done that before LMAO
Day 1 of trying something new everyday
I tried needle punch embroidery. Highly frustrating at the start when you're trying to make the stitches stick, but okay once you get the hang of it. I tore up the fabric on one section and had to glue a piece of fabric in behind to patch it up so I could still work on it. Really wanted to burn the damn thing at that point. 5/10 I think there are probably better and sexier embroidery methods where you don't have to worry so hard about stitches coming undone.
Engineers from Canny Lab (Berkeley) adapted the popular dimensionality reduction algorithm t-SNE for parallel calculation on the GPU (t-SNE-CUDA). It's faster than the standard sklearn implementation by 2-3 orders of magnitude. Paper, code.
