I was thinking of the parallel Jace/Valentine and Janus/Ash. I think if we get a scene where Ash turns against Janus, he would never be able to kill his son like his father did. Also, I thought of the possibility of Janus dying early on in the series and that affecting Ash's decisions for a while. Maybe he will resent the person who killed him and side with his mom/Seelie Queen?
It's so weird to think of Janus going too far as a villain, because it feels like talking to him could change his mind. I mean, he cares so much about Clary and Ash that he would listen to them. On the other hand, he is a psycho who wants to lock them up in cages, already killed several people and... Well, that doesn't go away easily. Maybe his mindset is already set and even Clary can't shake him out of his killer-mode mindset? I wonder how this is going to go. I am like 90% sure he is going to die, I wonder if it's in the first book. I hope Cassie doesn't forget there are still purple Jace Herondale fans out there and stuff.
And about the other 10%, is it too much to dream? That he will come back to Thule and help rebuild? (Yes, I know it is. And wow, what about a gay spider, is Simon alive in Thule?)
