This might be the coolest weather yet. Tornadoes hit fast and hard, but a hurricane is a different kind of dread. It's a long, named, phased mega storm that rolls over your lot in stages… including the iconic, deceptive calm of the eye. 🌀

🌀 NEW: HURRICANES

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

A slow, sprawling coastal-style storm that unfolds in real phases over several hours:

🌧️ OUTER BANDS → the wind and rain build, a Hurricane Warning sounds, get everyone inside.

💥 FRONT EYEWALL → landfall. The worst of it: driving rain, screaming wind, the power goes out, and outdoor property takes a battering.

👁️ THE EYE → an eerie, dead calm falls as the eye passes directly overhead. The sky lightens, the wind drops… but don't be fooled. It won't last.

💥 BACK EYEWALL → the storm slams back in from the OTHER direction. Stay sheltered — it's not over.

☀️ CLEARING → the hurricane finally moves out to sea. Time to survey the damage and clean up.

🏷️ NAMED & RATED

Every hurricane gets a name and a Category 1-5 rating — "Category 3 Hurricane Bella is making landfall!" A Cat 5 is a rare monster; most storms are milder. The warnings tell you exactly what you're facing.

🛡️ RIDE IT OUT

• It's serious but NON-LETHAL — Sims caught outside are herded indoors and left terrified and soaked, but a hurricane won't kill them.

• During the warning, use Take Shelter to rally the household in and Secure Outdoor Items to storm-proof the yard (the same prep tools as tornadoes).

• Expect a long power outage (a day or two) and widespread property damage — clean it up with the repair + insurance loop, same as any storm.

📅 WHEN

Hurricanes roll in rarely during late summer & fall (hurricane season) on any lot — or summon one whenever you like.

2. Delete your old WildWeather files and drop in BOTH new ones (WildWeather.package + WildWeather.ts4script).

3. Script mods enabled in Game Options → Other, then fully restart the game.

⚙️ Not into a feature? Every weather type can be toggled off — type `weather.disable hurricane` in the cheat console to skip hurricanes (or `weather.enable hurricane` to bring them back). Works for every event type.

Hey everyone,

My latest mod is here! I've been wanting to create something like this for a while, and I'm happy to say it's ready to go.

Create your own shift schedules, whatever your career (yes, it works for school too), and choose from Morning, Day, Evening or Night presets. If you don't see a schedule you like, you can easily create your own. Just head to Computer → Career → AnyShift and choose the days you want to work and the start and finish time. Your new schedule will stay with your Sim, even when they're promoted, and you can disable that option or reset to the careers' default settings any time.

I've included the latest version of my mod library in this post, as this requires it. Replace any current versions of it with the attached. I hope you like it!

🏠 Housing Authority Mod — Public Housing & Section 8 for The Sims 4

Your Sims can finally apply for real subsidized housing. Housing Authority is a deep gameplay overhaul that adds a full public-housing system to The Sims 4. Apply through a Housing Authority Office, get processed by a Caseworker, wait on a lottery list, and live inside the real rules of the program: income-based rent, annual inspections, recertification, income reporting, warnings, and everything that comes with it.

✨ What it does

🏢 The Office & Caseworkers — a rabbit-hole Housing Authority Office to visit, plus real Caseworker NPCs (red "CASEWORKER" title) who come to your lot to process your case in person.

📋 Applications & Eligibility — apply for Public Housing or a Housing Choice Voucher from your Sim's pie menu; income & household-size eligibility checks; required documents; approval/denial letters; and a one-time appeals process.

⏳ Waitlist & Lottery — a position-scaled waitlist, periodic weighted lottery, and emergency priority for homeless or near-broke households.

🔑 Public Housing — a unit sized to your family, income-based rent (30%), annual inspections & recertification, and transfers as your family changes.

🎟️ Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) — voucher amount by size + income, landlords who accept or deny, lease signing, move with your voucher (portability), and a voucher that grows/shrinks with your income. (Currently you stay on your lot so it's an honor system, but in the future there will be moving options.)

⚖️ Enforcement — income reporting deadlines, complaint inspections, warnings → benefit pause → termination, repayment plans (debt follows you), and reapply after a cooldown.

🚪 Leave anytime — walk away from the program whenever you want; regular Sims 4 bills return and all benefits/checkups stop.

🔧 Under the hood — no EA overrides (mod-friendly), regular utility bills auto-waived while housed, save data stored outside your save, and everything configurable.

▶️ Getting Started — a quick walkthrough

1. Apply. Click one of your Sims and open the Housing Authority menu. Choose Apply for Public Housing or Apply for Housing Choice Voucher. You'll get a letter listing the documents you need.

2. Submit your documents. Click your Sim → Housing Authority → Submit Documents. (Prefer roleplay? Choose Visit Housing Authority to handle it at the office, or use housing.caseworker to have a caseworker come to you and pick Meet with Caseworker.) Once your file is complete, the office checks your income — if eligible, you're placed on the waitlist.

3. Wait for the lottery. Check your spot with Housing Authority → Check Application Status. Selection happens by lottery over several days (longer if you're further down the list; much shorter with emergency priority). In a hurry? Type housing.lottery to draw right now.

4. Get housed. When selected, finish up via Housing Authority → Visit Housing Authority (or meet the caseworker):

Public Housing: you're assigned a unit + income-based rent. (Currently you stay on your lot so it's an honor system, but in the future there will be moving options.)

Voucher: your voucher is issued — then use Use Housing Voucher to find a landlord (they may decline; try again until one accepts and you sign a lease).

5. Live in the program. Rent is charged automatically and your normal utility bills are waived. Keep up with Report Income Change and the automatic annual inspections & recertification.

6. If things slip. Missed rent, failed inspections, or unreported income earn warnings → benefit pause → termination, with a repayment plan for anything owed.

7. Leaving. Housing Authority → Leave Housing Authority anytime — bills return, benefits stop, and you can reapply whenever.

💡 Tip: type housing.settings to see every option, then housing.set <option> <value> to tune the experience.

🧟 OUTBREAK — A Realistic Zombie Survival Mod for The Sims 4

Outbreak turns your sim worlds into a slow-burning apocalypse. No sprinting hordes, no arcade nonsense, just relentless, shambling dread that creeps closer every sim-day. Dangerous, but always fair. Fully standalone, base-game friendly, and built from the ground up with custom animations, custom skins, and deep survival systems.

This is very very early release access, there will be bugs and a lot of features to be added but I work on this mod DAILY, please comment your bugs/ideas/suggestions!

🌒 A World That Falls Apart in Phases

Trigger the collapse yourself and watch society unravel across five escalating stages:

Dormant – life as normal… for now

Rumors – something's wrong. A lone shape in the dark.

Outbreak – the dead walk. People start to turn.

Collapse – the streets belong to them. Careers end. School's out forever.

Endgame – you and yours against what's left

Each phase ramps up spawns, danger, and desperation. Fewer and fewer living NPCs wander by as the world empties out around you. Trigger the outbreak by clicking on your sim and going to the "outbreak" pie menu.

🧟 The Horde — Built for Realism

Slow shamblers that never run — realism is the whole point

Your actual neighbors rise as the dead — the people you knew

They spawn out in the neighborhood and shamble toward you

Roam outdoor spot to outdoor spot across your lot, the street, and neighbor yards

Haunt an area for 4–6 sim-days before drifting on — a real infestation, not a spawn blip

Up to 8–12 zombies around your lot at peak

Dull perception — they sense you ~12m out… but noise carries. Talk in a group near one and the block hears it.

Custom shambling walkstyle, custom idle sway, custom lunge attack, and a custom victim reaction when they grab someone

Red "ZOMBIE" hover title and a gruesome zombie skin

The dead have no autonomy — no phones, no snacks, no chatting

No special NPCs get infected (Grim, Father Winter, mascots, etc)

🦠 Infection & Turning

A bite starts the clock: Bitten → Fever → Delirium → turned. Check a Sim's infection status, and when one of your household finally succumbs, they're lost to the horde — gone, shambling away wearing a face you used to love.

⚔️ Combat — Dangerous but Fair

Encounter chance cards when the dead get close: fight or flee

Weapon-aware odds — your fitness and your best weapon tilt the fight

Fight Off any zombie directly — your Sim walks up and struggles

Injuries from bad rolls: sprains, deep cuts, and rare permanent wounds

⚰️ Corpses — Put Them Down for Good

An armed kill drops a zombie permanently — a custom collapse-and-lie-still animation

Bodies stay where they fall. They don't vanish.

Loot Corpse for simoleons (deeper loot coming)

Set Corpse on Fire — the only way to truly dispose of them. Watch them burn away.

🧍 Survivors — Rare and Precious

Wandering survivors occasionally appear (rarely — every few sim-days at most), marked with a red "SURVIVOR" title

Recruit them: walk over, talk, win them over with a chance card

Recruited survivors join your household and become playable

Kick Out anyone who's outstayed their welcome — they leave for good

Roles — Doctor, Farmer, Scout, Guard, Chef, Hunter, Scavenger — that shift your odds on runs and events

🎒 Survival Systems

Go Scavenging — send a Sim to pick over abandoned locations (rabbithole grocery, pharmacy, police station, hospital, quiet suburb) with real risk/reward. Age, traits, and roles all matter.

Check Supplies — see everything your household is carrying

Buy a Survival Knife — +20% fight odds and the ability to put zombies down for good, with a fully custom knife-stab animation

🧵 Rebuild What You Wear (needs a sewing machine) COMING SOON

The stores are gone. Your clothes fray and tear every ~2 sim-weeks, saddling your household with an uncomfortable Ragged Clothes moodlet. Sit at a sewing machine, spend leather, and jump straight into CAS to stitch a fresh outfit.

💿 Optional DLC-Enhanced Features

Outbreak is 100% playable on base game, but if you own these packs, extra systems switch on automatically:

🐄 Cottage Living — Go Hunting: send a Sim out to bring back raw meat and leather, which feeds the whole sewing/clothing loop above.

🎨 Custom Content

Included in the mod: all custom zombie animations (idle, lunge, recoil, death, corpse, knife stab), the possessed shamble walkstyle, a custom "Outbreak" pie menu with its own biohazard icon, and the red hover titles.

Optional companion CC (separate downloads): the zombie skin, the survival knife mesh, and a survival sewing machine.

🔪 CRIMINAL LIFE — Rob. Fight. Don't get caught.

Turn your Sim into a career criminal. Commit crimes on any Sim in the world, dodge witnesses, and if the law catches up — fight it in court or do your time behind bars. A full crime-and-punishment loop, built right into the pie menu.

💰 THE CRIMES

Pickpocket & Mug — walk up to any Sim and rob them blind. A hidden Criminal skill levels up with every job, boosting payouts and your odds of getting away clean.

Assault — start a real fight. Your Sims break into the classic Sims 4 dust-cloud brawl.

Murder 🆕 — go all the way. Land the kill and your victim actually dies (random death type each time). Botch it and they'll flee to report you.

👀 GETTING CAUGHT

Realistic witnesses — only Sims who can actually see the crime can report it (proper line-of-sight; no snitching toddlers through walls).

Lay low — spotted? A popup lets you run, bribe the witness, threaten them into silence, or turn yourself in.

Warrants & arrest — get flagged and the law comes for you.

⚖️ YOUR DAY IN COURT 🆕

Plead guilty for a lighter sentence or fight the charges at trial.

Hire a lawyer — free Public Defender up to a §3,000 Top Attorney. Better lawyer = better odds of walking free.

Bribe the judge — high risk, high reward. Pull it off and the case vanishes; get caught and they throw the book at you.

A little courtroom roleplay plays out before the verdict.

Convicted Sims are hauled off to jail (rabbit hole) and serve the full sentence before returning home.

Winter just got dangerous. The mod that brought tornadoes to The Sims 4 now has a whole cold-weather tier, plus a mountain of features added since the first beta. Here's everything Wild Weather does now. (This was going to originally ship with tornadoes, but I had to patch up a bug!)

• SNOW DAYS — softer, cozier snow that CANCELS SCHOOL. The kids and teens get to stay home while the adults still head to work.

• Both arrive naturally in winter (rare), or trigger them on command.
