hi everyone :) here are prosthetic legs for all ages & genders! it has been a massive task getting this together and making modifications so they will work for even the littlest of sims, so i hope you like them
they are in the shoe category and will work with all cc that has boot compatibility, and also with any ea mesh that does not tuck into boots (about 2/3 of the content from my testing). i also have some info on the patreon post that has recommendations for boot compatible cc!
in early access until september 26th, but the info page will always be public!

What is beautiful is good and who is good will soon be beautiful. - Sappho of Lesbos
fuck it. higher class english woman from a jewish-italian family and her cornish childhood friend-turned-housemaid that slowly fell in love over the 1910s.
on a more personal note, i don't think i can describe the big old smile on my face when i saw the antique wheelchair from @lilis-palace and the accompanying poses. disability related cc is few and far between, and finding historical disability related cc is like finding a dolphin in the desert. disabled people have always been here, and will always be here.
we've existed throughout history! shanidar one was a neanderthal who had brain damage and possible paralysis, and is estimated to have lived to be between thirty-five and forty-five ā pretty old for a neanderthal! disabled people show up often in medieval and biblical texts. the greek god hephaestus is famously described as "lame," "deformed," and/or "impaired". various disabled bodies are portrayed in ancient egyptian art. some people with developmental/learning disabilities were honored by western european courts in the renaissance and believed to be closer to god. closer to the time period portrayed in this post, rosa may billinghurst was known as the "cripple suffragette" and was involved in near constant rallying for women's rights. disabled people are overlooked in studies and perceptions of history for so many reasons; mistreatment, abuse, erasure, eugenics, different ways of categorizing and labelling disabilities, and simply being lost to time and translation. but we've always existed. for every iconic figure of disability history, there's hundreds more who simply existed and had their lives forgotten.
there's names you know like helen keller, frida kahlo, franklin d. roosevelt, and names you don't. if anything i've said at all has interested you, here are a few more notable disabled people from history and modernity to research if you'd like: brad lomex, wilma mankiller, niccolò paganini, ivar the boneless, and barbara jordan.
cc used under the cut! (if it's not linked, it's from the game)
party - simverses's hat with plume, bow, and roses conversion / historicalsimslife's tea in the garden dress / pinkpatchy's sunless walks hat / twentiethcenturysims' fern dress
swim - linzlu's bathing belle swimsuit / eirflower's bain de soliel bathing shoes / lollaleeloosstuff's historical swimwear
summer - happylifesims' 1910's day dress #1 / waxesnostalgic's open collar blouse (short sleeves) + 1919 skirt (i think) / twentiethcenturysims golden ring accessory
Maybe a hiatus right when maxis introduces somthing new is not a bad thing cause it seems that people take it as an aprotunity to be as vile as they can be ...
See ya all when people are not being the most disgusting people about disability cc
FYI ANY DISABILITY , MEDICAL , CULTURAL, RELIGIOUS , HOLLYDAY CC SHOULD ALWAYS BE FREE NO PAYWALLING NOT EVEN EARLY ACCESS. Please dont exploit other people's life and identity?? I cant belive thats somthing we have to say now.

My boyfriend is a computer scientist and has worked in and tangential to tech for almost 20 years now and long story short: The anarchic nature of cc creatorās TOUās is a MAJOR pet peeve of his.Ā Iām not a big fan either, as my autistic brain would like more standardization and fewer unknowns, too.
Ā For example, if the person didnāt mention something at all in their TOU, does that mean yes or no? Thereās ~0 chance Iāll actually message someone bc ~anxiety~ so Iāll assume no where maybe there would have been a yes except the creator just didnāt think to add that bit in. Also, itās hard to keep track of who has which of the literally infinite variations of TOUs out there.
But if there were standardized TOU types out there, then people who wanted to participate could just choose the one they want, and having multiple people using the same, explicitly stated TOUs would just make things lowkey easier.
Also i hope that maybe it would encourage more open TOUs? Some people donāt realize that their strict TOUs are contradicting EAs TOUs, and maybe seeing all their friends and favorite creators choosing X tou could encourage them to maybe use that one too? (A simmer could hope..)
So anyway, the BF & I sketching out ideas of what a standardization of TOUs might look like, and weād love some input!Ā
Questions weād love to hear answers to:
What would a fully open TOU allow? We have the following, but lmk if iāve forgotten anything!
> Recolors
> Mesh Edits
> Including the Mesh
> Converting to other sims versions & other games
ShouldĀ āConverting to other sims versionsā &Ā āConverting to other gamesā be two separate points (for any type of TOU)? Idk if there are people out there who allow converting to ts2/3 but not other games..
The most common TOU to me seems to beĀ āRecolors are fine with credit (and no paywalls, etc) but donāt include the mesh, and donāt edit my meshā-- do you agree? Do you see any other types that seem particularly common?
What kind of TOU do you have?
Do you have any thoughts on TOUs / the idea of providing some standardized options for people ?Ā
Oooh, and if this were to come into being and had its own little site, we could include templates for emailing creators, and maybe encourage creators to specify why they want tot message them &/or what information to include when they do. Like this is def my autistic brain speaking, but I'd never email someone asking for permission to edit a mesh (so i just wouldn't) bc it'd make me too anxious. & I think it's because I feel like I'd be like "Hello i am seeking to be judged worthy of editing your mesh but i have no idea what your criteria are and so i don't know if i qualify and I might have some sort of rejection here and that makes me wanna barf."
Reducing vagueness + increasing explicitly stated information is SUPER VERY MUCH an accessibility issue (for autistic/adhd, anxious, &/or ID folks at minimum), and one that doesnāt get talked about enough!
