They have severely limited funds and could only afford a ceiling fan in the main room, so the bedrooms get quite hot. VJ is feeling the effects of summer!

Iqbal has a great relationship with young Miraj. Teenage VJ? Not so much

Aw, poor Iqbal. Because of the No Sense of Humor/Good Sense of Humor trait mod, Iqbal failed at a joke with Miraj.

And he had a fear??!

I took VJ to the supermarket to browse and loiter because its summer vacation in my hood! I have a personalized Sims 3 edit of the holidays mod.

But I realized that I had community time mod and Miraj was at home alone. When I got back to the home lot, Miraj would be alone because Iqbal was at work! Uh-oh!

Oh GREAT. I get back to the lot and Iqbal has a chance card that I wrote for a continuing edit of my "Work Chances" mod. Since he's absent-minded, he has a chance of rolling this at any job! I chose "Report Incident".

It did NOT go well for him!

OOhhh it's demotion time. His performance was already low because he was also late to work because of Fway's Go to Work for traits mod.

I made Dorie Hart (a walkby) selectable so Miraj wouldn't get taken away. Thanks girl. She's in her underwear due to my Outfit Sense mod!

Everything in The Sims 2 is objects. Sims are objects, objects are objects, interactions and tokens are objects. It's all objects and if you're clever enough you can run object's A code on object B

Keep track of Temp 0 when working on BHAV's. A lot of primitives and (semi)globals will store data in it so store it in a local or 3 when you do a lot with temp 0. When the needed data is put in temp 0, transfer it to a local or just anything that isn't temp 0

If you're putting temp 0 into param x, remember that the temp 0 being used when param x is being utilized in your BHAV, is not the temp 0 as it was when you called that BHAV, but temp 0 as its current state in the stack. Simply said: if in BHAV A, temp 0 is 45 and you call BHAV B inside of BHAV A, then if you then do some data operations that use temp 0 and change it to 36, then when you call param x after doing so, the temp 0 represented by param x isn't 45 but 36 (this would work better as illustration). Aka: using a temp as a param, means your param behaves the same as any temp. Param x := temp 0 means "param x is just temp 0 wearing a fake mustache"

The Sims 2 uses a temperature range between -100 and 100 and using a lua call, you can retrieve the current temperature and use it for your own evil purpose

When using the manage inventory prim, be sure to clear the index when looping through

You can totally just work out your BHAV on paper when your pc is shitting bricks

You can have more than 4 params for a BHAV, you just can't configure them using the wizard so it's not that useful in practice

Motive decay modifiers are most often configured using code that came with FT, so it's not MAC-compatible

Test your code on Anygamestarter running a Super Collection configuration if you can get it to work.

Use EP checks to make things MAC-Compatible

Trouble resetting a Sim? Are they having weird stuck SFX and are they on their home lot? moveobjects on, delete the Sim, save and reload the lot. The Sim will show back up. I used to use it as a type of "maxmotives" back when I only had the Basegame. It works.

If it can't be found on MTS, find a modder to ask. We're around and know stuff

Most zoomed in thumbnails in deco are from people cloning the fruit bowl and it's easy to fix. Just go into the CRES, go to ThumbnailExtension and delete that entry you see in there. Commit, fix integrity, save and recompressorize

When modifying the footprint, you can also go up instead of just on the x and y axis.

You can make columns higher than 3 stories. I did it twice, then somehow forgot how. Anyways, just clone the ones from my Prince of Persia conversions if you want 4 or 5 story columns. They work as intended and all.

Just clone your NH deco from custom. Everybody does it bc NH deco is unfindable via Object Workshop

Don't give your NH deco a long name when cloning because it gets added in front of the name of the one you cloned it from. It can get out of control very fast.

NH deco doesn't usually need its GUID changed when you clone it

You can fiddle around with where your NH deco can and cannot be placed and how it behaves on/in water

You can texture reference basically anything with a TXMT including objects and NH deco. You can even combine it with repository for Ultimate Space Savings

If your object texture is white and covered in text, your texture name in your TXMT is misspelled or your TXTR has gone missing.

The Sims 2 sometimes handles 3D coordinates reversed. (-1 is 1, 2 is -2). It's relevant for slots, bones and TXMT's

Pixelhate's wonderful TXMT pdf's are wrong about one thing and that is texture animations. It's all about the UV maps

Some BHAVs primitives are 0-indexed, some aren't. 0 is either treated as the first number or non-existent oopsie error

Just screenshot your BHAV and annotate every node if you're not sure how it works

You can label your locals and params. There's a button in the BHAV editor to make labels. Use it to keep track of things

Don't check "university ready" when fixing integrity. It breaks custom animations for one.

Some of these deserve more explanation, but that requires energy and a file system that isn't malfunctioning. Enjoy!

I'm not sure what is going on. I have added the affected file to the filetable, and made sure the EPs and download folder also are within the filetable. I'm on version 0.77.69 of SimPE.

i'm trying to convert these ts4 button eyes to sims 2 but for some reason i'm not able to see the accessory in game with the .pakage file in my downlaods 🧐

the mesh does show up when i open the .package file in YAPE - so it has me thinking its because i dont have a texture linked to it so the game can recognize it 🤔 if that's the case, what would be the best way of doing so? here's the package and the texture i'm working with: x
