I stopped perceiving self-shipping as cringe after I got into Transformers because it's almost like this franchise wants you to do self-inserts. Before joining the TF fandom I felt like I didn't deserve my favourite characters because. I'm a boring humannn 🥺. From realityyy 🥺. I have a boring job and no tragic backstoryyy 🥺. And now it's like. What if YOU were the boring human sidekick running beside the Autobots? What if YOU were sitting on this huge robot's shoulder just like this human protagonist over there?
