the red sea diving resort; like or reblog!
my ari ♡♡
i don't think Chris was particularly proud of RSDR either. he never even promoted it. the final product probably didn't live up to the expectations he had when he first read the script. oh well, at least we got sexy shirtless longhaired Chris in shot shorts. so it wasn't a complete loss ;))
Yup, that movie definitely gave us a lot of worthy content

Title: The Red Sea Diving Resort
Rating: 4.5/5 ★★★★☆
This film being based on real-life events made it a lot more impactful and inspiring than if it was not. The premise of the story is that Israeli agents led by Ari (Chris Evans) working for the Israeli Government are rescuing Black Jews/refugees from Africa, in particular Sudan. To do so, Ari conceptualises a plan to lease a deserted resort in the middle of Sudan to use as a front during their operations. By the end of their mission, they successfully rescued and evacuated tens of thousands of refugees into Jerusalem. I do not know of the real events of the real RSDR but suffice to say, the real agents were the purest of heart, and when they pass on to the after life, I am sure they would go to Heaven, for their selfless act of rescuing their siblings in faith.
I have checked the reviews on rotten tomatoes near the end of the film and one memorable comment why one of the reviewers rated the movie so low was because of Chris Evans’ acting, which as they put it, was still like Captain America. I disagree. Of course, Chris Evans’ acting as Capt America will obviously be memorable, but I didn’t even remembered the other franchise had I not read that comment. Chris’ acting was superb and not as Captain America, but as the team leader of the Israeli agents.
I would have to say though, that the story of the refugees were not delved in to deeply and was more focused on the agents, but then again it is not a huge flaw. It is after all, supposed to be an entertaining movie and not a documentary. If one really wants the true recounting of the actual events, then one should read and/or watch transcripts and documentary of the actual events.

So following some fans thinking if Chris is a zionist for been in a film based in true events does that make actors who play terrorists etc actually support them? // yup this. in my opinion the point of acting is to act aka to be someone you’re not actually in real life. 🤷♀️
