Saowon clan is where all the "Z" names come from but firelord zoryu is from the Keohso clan and as far as we're aware, he and his family stayed on the throne. I find it a little funny if zoryu continued to name his kids with the "z" names just to make the Saowons mad but I've seen ppl theorize about Chaejin eventually taking the thrown as well.

I wanted to ask you do you think hei ran ever truly atoned to her part in yun's suffering like she kept telling to herself that it will be for his interest that it'll make him stronger but for the record this was a child he didn't need to be stronger he needed to be safe to be raised by people who loved and cared about him not to be used as a political pawn. and now with Yun dead can she really atone for having played a role in destroying this boy's life ( I mean I would have really liked to see her in his funeral)

I'm certain she didn't atone in canon, but I agree with you. It'd be an interesting concept for a fanfic to have her deal with this guilt and impossibility to do better by him.
What I love most about Hei-Ran is how messed up she is LOL and I like how even when she's working to change, she's often stuck in her ways. I think this would make any atonement a complex process... Especially cause she'd have to think over her entire history with Kuruk too.

AU in which some time after her parents leave Kyoshi and she's on the streets, she unintentionally calls upon Yangchen. Only when Kyoshi sees her, she immediately assumes that she's Jesa.
Yangchen, shocked at the confusion and at Kyoshi's state, decides that there is only one way she can proceed: she's gonna have to raise this child herself. (this will absolutely definitely not cause spirit-related issues later on)
