Celebrating 1,200 miles of paddling with Ilya Kulchitskiy whom, with many rewarding trials and tribulations, I have traveled with from Spokane, Washington to paddle from headwaters of the Mississippi up in northern Minnesota all the way to the confluence of the Missouri and the great city of St. Louis over the last two and a half months. He will now be hitch hiking back up north and eventually westward back to his home and roots in Washington to make it home in time for the wedding of one of his dear friends and realize a few other of his dreams and adventures, with the plan to finish paddling the second half of the Mississippi on a future date. I will continue paddling solo the next 1,200 miles to the Gulf of Mexico in a new chapter of this epic journey : ) What an incredible expedition it has been already in the company of a worthy companion. I wish my friend all the best in his future endeavours which I'm sure, with his determination and good attitude, he will find success. : ]
