When they’re both there, he can focus, he can think. “I’ll decide tomorrow,” he says, and with the confidence of one third of a bottle of vodka, he brings both their hands up to his lips, kissing them. “Until then, will you just… I don’t know. Be here with me?” Tired eyes look back him, but in both pairs of them is a warmth and kindness, an understanding and a desire. Annalise shifts to sidle up to his right and Gabriel spoons his left, both of them resting sleepy heads against him. Nathan’s not sure the last time he’s allowed himself to feel this relaxed.
