Daisy stands in his doorway with her arms wrapped around herself in some imitation of a hug as her eyes flicker around his room, unwilling or unable to stay on him. 

All Trip know is something happened and Daisy’s not okay.

He sits up in his bed and holds his arms open to her. 

“Come here, girl. You can stay with me tonight and every night, if that’s what you really want,” says Trip. 

Moving across the room, she doesn’t hesitate to take the offered comfort from Trip and that’s why she came to him instead of one of the others on the team; though, she knows they’ll talk about this later. 

As Daisy settles down with Trip spooning her from behind, his arms solid against her waist, she lets out a sigh. 

“Thanks Trip,” she says softly. 

“Anything for you girl,” he replies before kissing the closest part of her head he can reach. Then he gives her a firm squeeze with his arms before relaxing them just enough so she’s comfortable. 

Facing terrible things isn’t so bad when a person knows they’re not alone.

Summary: After the Inhuman War ends, Daisy arranges for her and Trip to have some time off together.

Sneak-Peak: 

It takes three full spins and two playful blows on his chest for him to take her down, looking sheepish.

“Um, of course, of course I would like to go on a vacation with you, Daisy.” He is trying to sound serious and not over enthusiastic, but his eyes are shining, and the smile is spilling all over his mouth.

She goes to her tiptoes and kisses him, licks his smile into her mouth, swallows it down and lets it fill her lungs with joy. This is exactly the reason why they are doing this.

“Someone needs some time off, it seems.”
