Welcome to DinApril 2025, where instead of recycling my list from last year, I made my mom come up with the dinosaurs! Our twenty-ninth day features a dinosaur that she thinks could plausibly have existed at some point even though no one has found any bones of it: Alamonykus madeupicus! This female has found herself brought back to life in front of Winnie-the-Pooh, who has offered her some honey (and the name is spelled right for a change). Two bees buzz nearby, unaware that the alvarezsaur's long, sticky tongue could end up eating them as well.

There aren't any alvarezsaur fossils known from the Ojo Alamo formation, but I think given its location between South America (FULL of alvarezsaurs) and Hell Creek (alvarezsaur) it could've had at least one. I modeled Alamonykus after Trierarchuncus, which has an absolutely horrible name.

My mom does NOT like alvarezsaurs, she thinks their tiny little arms are stupid-looking. Welp, off to show her a picture of an anteater-bird! :)

This might actually be the first Winnie-the-Pooh fanart I've ever made in my entire LIFE. Odd considering how much I grew up on the movies, original book, PVC figures, & stuffed animals.

Now, you may be asking, you may be beseeching, you may be demanding answers, to the question, "Hey you goddamn bastard, pardon my French, are you going to portray Trierarchuncus as an egg-eater, after the proposed diet for Manipulonyx?"

Well, the answer to that question is no, for reasons explained here. Instead, I'm probably going to either go with the more widely accepted insectivorous lifestyle, or just like, not really talk about it in too much detail. I mean, the colonists have only been there a couple years so far and they've had their hands full getting the colony set up, you think they've had time to exhaustively document the feeding habits of every single animal in the area? No. Of course not, don't be stupid.

Also I have just learned there is apparently another Hell Creek alvarezsaurid, "Ornithomimus" minutus. Neat. Hell Creek is neat.
