☽ Cause and effect, a rule so very simple, a law of physics, understandble for even kids, watching domino bricks fall, a little push, a cause, they all fall, an effect. Fall like soldiers in war, fall one after another, a chain of effects, sometimes caused by little things, a grenade thrown, a little push, merely a small ball of gun powder and metal, a tiny fingertip, it was enough of a cause. A cause like this, waking her in the early morning hours, yet another nightmare, a grenade, soldiers falling, face covered in blood, a face she knew like her own, a face she had grown up with, had seen all changes off, covered in blood, losing the light in dark eyes... It sometimes got to her, the fact of growin up amidst military, every man around her, every man at her home, each a soldier, so unlike the city, nobody thinking of such matters, overtaking her dreams, every once in her whole, a simple nightmare, a simple cause, ruining her whole day. Pictures haunting her wake times, an effect, unable to concentrate, an effect, getting clumsy, an effect, coffee spilled over a stranger's coat, an effect. There was no aid to days like these, a matter of time passing, forgetting about it, calling, checking everyone's status, getting secret informations again, those were the things to do, accomplished in the early morning. Running into someone, spilling her life elixir, the lid not properly closed, it was none of the things to do, shaking her awake, out of the dizziness of after-effects, after the ruin to her morning practices, after stumbling in the shower, cutting herself while shaving her legs, wound covered by a plaster, hidden beneath her jeans, she was eventually getting into it, muttering some excuse, looking for tissues to vipe away the droplets. "Should we stop by some cleaner? It shouldn't leave stains, I'm so sorr." Sometimes a simple cause, being inattentive, unable to look ahead, tormented with feelings of sickness, no concentration left, was enough, enough to arouse an effect, finally leaving the nightmare behind, the horrible dream of death, of soldiers falling like domino bricks, an effect pulling her out of dark thoughts, returning her to her self, an ever polite kid, preferring no attention to causing accidents, accidents like spilling coffee, leaving stains, bothering a stranger.
