yongen-jaya is a rather bustling place for a place so small. while someone might be overwhelmed trying to find the tucked-in cafe leblanc, he’s used to navigating cities -- the only rural area he’s lived in is inaba. like most of tokyo, he’s heard of the rumored phantom thieves, and like most detectives, he’s taken it upon himself to investigate them. he has no intention of attempting to stop them, though; at least, not yet. what he’s interested in is their method of ‘ changing hearts. ’ he has a suspicion -- perhaps he’s inherited his uncle’s ‘ detective intuition ’ -- that those phantom thieves might be persona users.
as he’s walking down the backstreets of yongen-jaya, he takes mental notes of everything he sees. he’s about to turn a corner when he feels izanagi rumbling with power inside him -- he’s trying to tell him something. it’s then he notices what izanagi’s trying to point out to him; a certain girl. she looks normal on the outside, but he can sense something within her. is that...?
he doesn’t want to seem creepy, so he adopts the guise of a man in a hurry, ‘ accidentally ’ bumping into her on his way down the street, making sure contents ‘ accidentally ’ fall from his bag as well.
‘ .. ah, my apologies. ’ yu says, and it’s actually sincere. he feels bad for doing that, but he didn’t have much of a choice ( people don’t appreciate others asking for details about their personal life like they would in inaba ). he starts to pick up his things, hoping she’ll kneel down in an attempt to help him. ‘ i didn’t mean to run into you like that, i’m just a bit lost and overwhelmed in the city ... ’ // starter call + @trickeyes
