Credit to @jessrunsblessed : Nothing like last minute ... π . . Itβs been too cold to open water swim, even in a wetsuit, but yesterday, @lee_rebodos and I braved the super cold temps of Lake Grapevine just to test out our race day wetsuit plan! (Shout out to @tommypistana For lending me your neoprene swim cap!) π . . Good thing, too, because it was very unfamiliar to me! π¬ I felt restricted, like my stroke was off honestly had a tough time putting my face in the frigid water for several minutes! π₯Ά I decided to hit the pool in my wetsuit today for another short swim to see if it felt better. It did!!! I needed to pull my sleeves up more so my shoulders had more mobility but I still donβt get my normal reach... (my coach @trishopguy says thatβs normal). . . It was also good because Galveston water temps are cold this year, too!!! π§Current temps are 63 degrees! . . With all the pee around I guess it will feel warmer though, right???!! π€£π¬ππ€’ β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’β’ posted on Instagram - http://bit.ly/2WP1NcU
