I have definitely seen someone post about this before but I genuinely love the thing where every time Star Trek has tried to create a Group Who Are Ontologically Evil, from Klingons to Romulans to Ferengi, they have realized "Oh wait, we are Star Trek. This goes against what we believe about unity and compassion and there being no people who can't be good" so they give us a character who is one of the Evil Ones but isn't evil and then eventually there are more of them and they're just another group who have capacity for good and bad like everyone else so they create another Group Who Are Ontologically Evil and the cycle repeats. And some people see this as a problem but I honestly love how they just keep accidentally proving over and over that there is capacity for good in all of us.
