Writhing branches.
Sculpture by Andrea Bonazzi: "Ramifications" (1999).
Pretend that she's Hawthorne and not a DeLite. I was too lazy to extend Dahlia's body so using Dessie's again.
Posting this here cause tumblr hates the the not tree-word so much that it censored the post until I ridded the tag
Surprise surprise that this is the first piece that I post (I don't have much art, don't judge ok) the tree was a bitch to draw, but totally worth it when I saw the results

2017 Inktober, Day 25 NANG TA-KHIAN (lady of the ta-khian tree) is a female spirit in Thai folklore, who gets her name from haunting the ta-khian tree. It is said that she will also haunt a house made from the wood of a ta-khian tree, leading to these trees being very rarely used for lumber. She is not considered a malicious spirit, and will only harm immoral or bad people who come too close to her haunt. For this reason, one of the few places where ta-khian wood is used as a building material is in buddhist monasteries, as the monks are considered virtuous enough to have nothing to fear from the tree spirits. Still, the trees are only felled for this purpose after a ceremony is performed to ask the spirit's permission. Older ta-khian trees are often wrapped with coloured cloth by buddhist monks to protect the spirits' abode from logging, and to protect humans from the spirits' wrath. Only 7 more Inktober days remaining! This year I am drawing female ghosts, monsters, and demons from around the world. . #inktober #NangTakhian #sketchbook #treespirit #dryad #inktober2017 #treewoman #tree #illustration #drawing #artwork #folklorecreature #apparition #artistsoninstagram #instart #inkdrawing #alexkujawa
Birch woman - Seppo Similä Finnish, b.1950 - Oil and acrylic on canvas
I had to make an impromptu dryad character because a player got a nat20 and now the dryad is in love with them (w/o charm).
Her name is Yin and I have no clue how to design her look.
But hell yea
