migraine - twenty one pilots ( @traumaetic )
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āI guess Iāll sleep when Iām dead. Sometimes death seems better Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā than the migraine in my head.ā Fiveās nursing a coffee with vodka Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā as the condiment, stirred into it. Heās obviously exhausted, but not Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ready to face the nightmares with it. He shrugs and takes a gulp of Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā his drink that most certainly wasnāt aggravating the headache, no. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āIām not as fine as I seem.ā He snorted and gave a bitter noise, looking Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā up at his knife wielding brother. He didnāt expect much from Diego, Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā so maybe that was why he was being open.Ā āBut whatever.ā
š + why is five your favorite hargreeves?
Ā Ā āĀ uh,Ā well,Ā Ā letāsĀ see.Ā Ā āĀ Ā daveĀ startsĀ listingĀ itĀ outĀ onĀ Ā eachĀ digitĀ of hisĀ leftĀ hand.Ā Ā Ā āĀ heās smart.Ā Ā doesnāt takeĀ anyĀ bullshit.Ā Ā iĀ feelĀ likeĀ i canĀ relateĀ toĀ himĀ Ā āĀ Ā you know,Ā Ā inĀ aĀ weirdĀ way.Ā Ā āĀ Ā Ā consideringĀ they were bothĀ veteransĀ inĀ oneĀ wayĀ orĀ another,Ā Ā bothĀ sometimesĀ sharedĀ thatĀ sameĀ hauntedĀ Ā look.Ā Ā Ā āĀ Ā plus,Ā Ā andĀ donātĀ get meĀ wrong,Ā Ā i donāt feel likeĀ i haveĀ toĀ actĀ inĀ front ofĀ anyĀ ofĀ theĀ hargreeves,Ā Ā butĀ iĀ dunno.Ā Ā Ā Ā iĀ like how,Ā Ā aroundĀ five,Ā Ā itāsĀ likeĀ it doesnāt evenĀ matterĀ ifĀ weĀ talkĀ orĀ not.Ā Ā Ā iĀ canĀ appreciateĀ thatĀ kindaĀ relationship.Ā Ā Ā heāsĀ kind ofĀ likeĀ theĀ littleĀ brotherĀ iĀ alwaysĀ wantedĀ Ā ā¦Ā Ā inĀ aĀ veryĀ strange,Ā Ā heāsĀ fifty - eightĀ andĀ iām technicallyĀ overĀ seventy kind of way.ā
Ā āĀ āāāĀ Ā Ā but ,Ā Ā youĀ know,Ā Ā ifĀ klausĀ isĀ listening:Ā Ā babe,Ā Ā iĀ promise,Ā Ā youāreĀ myĀ actual - actualĀ favoriteĀ hargreeves.Ā Ā Ā ifĀ i didnātĀ likeĀ you the best,Ā Ā iĀ wouldnāt haveĀ marriedĀ you.Ā Ā Ā thatāsĀ all.Ā Ā ā

Ā Ā ā -- will they even do anything? ā The boyās complaint was pretty valid -- he had dealt with people not taking complaints seriously and it ended up being terrible in the long run. He didnāt want this to be like that. ā A lot of ... cops donāt listen to complaints from teens. ā He adjusts his backpack, looking at the girl with a frown. Peter trusted her ... but at the moment he wasnāt sure he could trust the cops.
It would be a lot easier if he just ... suited up.

@traumaeticā | welcome to hell!! here take a thing
" alright, assholes. my family and i were having a nice night, but now i've got to come clean up this mess to make sure it stays that way. you've put me in a position where i need to do something i don't wanna do. "
five's legs dangle from the roof of the restaurant he's perched on, and seven guns swing upward, barrels pointed directly at him. a thin, cold smile stretches across his face, despite the heavy sigh directed out his nose.
" shhh. don't bother with the whole not wanting to shoot a kid thing, " he lifts a finger to his lips, almost playfully, to shush the man about to speak. " besides, it's not like you'll be going home, so you won't have to worry about going with that on your conscience. "
he blinks, appearing crouched in the shadows beside the dumpsters behind the building. he can hear the men whispering, can hear their footfalls -- he watches two round the corner, and then --
another blink, and he's on the man's shoulders. as he fires in a panic, five wrenches his weight to the side, the gun pointing directly at the man's friend -- a quick snap of the neck and five blinks away as the corpses fall.
he feels alive, and the rational part of him hates it. the other part missed it.
five to go.
āthese nightmares always hang on past the dream.ā

Caught, again. Her own fault, her own stupidity, leading to this. To sitting hunched in a kitchen chair, blue eyes darting nervously around the room as her social worker spoke with the woman who would apparently be taking care of Charlie now. At least, until the girl figured out how to run away again. Sheād never stayed more than a month in a foster home before, and she didnāt plan on sticking around long this time either.
She tuned out as the adults talked, catching only brief familiar phrases like severe trauma, unidentified, likely abuse. Daddy never hurt me, she wanted to tell them. He loved me, he died for me. But if she said anything sheād have to tell them what did happen, and then she wouldnāt be sent to live with some well-meaning redhead, sheād be locked away and studied again. If she told, her father died for nothing. So she waited until the social worker left, and then looked up at the woman who was meant to be her new guardian. Beverly, thatās what sheād said when they met.
āYou shouldnāt want me here,ā Charlie told her, hoping sheād listen and just send her back. She could run from a group home easier. They gave up quick.Ā āBeing around me is dangerous.ā
