How would transplants work? I’m assuming their can’t be cross species transplants but has anyone ever tried?
Like has a blob ever tried to take an angels wings? If so: Would they just kinda be stuck to the blobs back useless or could they eventually learn to use them? Or would that actually require for them to fully transplant and build up new nerve endings to connect to their pre-existing nervous/control system?
But if they wouldn’t work cross species - which I’m assuming so - could they be done within the same species? Once again using wings as an example cause they’re one of the most easily to recognise and complex physical features; but could an angel receive another angels wings if theirs got damaged?
Or is it restricted to regular transplants and not any of their abnormal ((by our reckoning anyway)) features?
This is a quite odd question to me to be honest, but I can answer some parts of it.
First of all, you chose the most preculiar species as exemple. Blobs are glitch species, not meant to exist in the first place. And angels are sent by deities, literally created by them. If a blob tried to steal an angel's wings, they would suffer instant permadeath from their victim's patron/parent god.
A bit more in subject, I think this like I started to explain in the previous ask; you can't controle the body parts you weren't meant to have. If a blob's code (to continue my analogies to game mechanics, it's basically the brain) ever happens to accept a pair of implanted wings on their body, the limbs will just stay still and heavy on their back.
However, transplant of limbs and organs for more common parts (even cross species, as long as it's an organ natural in both species and are close enough), this should work like in real life. If you had the right line of code, then replacing the material part shouldn't be impossible, it's more a question of luck wether it actually works or not.
(If it's a pretty vital organ, then they should be weary and act quickly, as the implanted part probably come from a permanently dead player. These bodies can disappear pretty quickly after death, and if the transplant doesn't work, the implant will fal to dust)
