Also, I do just want to speak on something real quick.
If you are transabled, specifically in regards to a physical disability, please please PLEASE make sure you are talking to a mental health professional. ESPECIALLY if you are thinking of or planning on transitioning.
BIID is a real thing, that is researched, that can make people more understanding of you as a transabled person if you have it.
I myself plan on doing a BIID scanning once I have a psychologist, and discussing transabled transitioning, especially around my hearing as a transdeaf/transhoh individual and even a transspecies being.
Even if you dont have BIID but are still transabled, you should be discussing your transition with professionals every step of the way.
That rule should honestly go for most - if not all - transIDs.
Has anyone transitioned from hearing to HoH [hard of hearing] or Deaf successfully? Or is anyone currently in the middle of doing so?
If so, I'd really love to know a bit about your experience and how it changed things (other than your ability to hear, of course) for you and stuff!
Pretty pleaseeee!
This trisdeaf kiddo just got some 5 dollar hearing aids, they muffle sounds around me and applify voices which is exactly what i need! i can't use them right now bc im having medical problems but im super excited to try them out at pride and resturants! So affirming
TransHoH
