The Transformers trilogy book series isn't too great, but I do like the parts with Megatron and Starscream, Starscream actually overpowered Megatron through combat, which is so based
Second book:
Starscream has taken over, Megatron has come back to take over, Megatron stops Soundwave from headshoting Starscream, more bots join Megatrons side, Megatron tells them to stand down so he can attack Starscream with his bare hands
So if most of what modern Cybertron thinks it remembers about the Thirteen is mythologized/actively interfered with, I think that it is actually conceivable that more than one was a beastformer.
Transformers Bios of G1-style Jazz
This isn't every bio Jazz has ever had, but these are the ones I find most interesting, including some obscure ones!
Bio from Marvel's Transformer Universe #2:
G1 Sunbow cartoon casting call:
Marvel's TF UK Annual 1990 updated bio:
Laser Cycle Jazz bio (see alt-text, I know the image is practically unreadable):
Transformers: The Ultimate Guide bio:
Dreamwave comics bio:
Reveal the Shield Jazz bio (the typos make me laugh):
Transformers Go! Go! manga bio (I can't read or translate this, but my understanding from others' translation efforts is that it says he's "in mutual love with music," and is always cool until music plays... then he turns into a rock star):
Transformers Character Card bio for Cybertron Action Master Special Operative Meister (see above, but this mentions Jazz being restored via Nucleon and being part of the Magnificent Six):

God combiners as their own characters are so under explored.
What intrigues me most about them though is the psychological element. I think it was Dreamwave where Menasor breaks up because of mind games and that’s such an intriguing concept.
Like in the face of something like Unicron, this insurmountable borderline incomprehensible force, they’d be more effective wouldn’t they? The usual issues of team bickering or possibly even factional allegiances should, in theory but probably not 100% in reality, make combiners much smarter and more effective since they have a far greater sense of unity right? It’s basic fight or flight, though I guess that would itself create divisions but these are all experienced soldiers already, there’s only really one option. We see teams like the constructions or technobots united in common purpose, which appears to make them more effective when combined, but why?
