I have a tattoo on my arm that reads “mise en place” which is a French culinary term that means “putting in place” or “everything in its place.” We use this when referring to having ingredients prepped out and ready to go, or any bowls/utensils etc. that are needed to cook a dish. 🥘 . . I feel like I have spent the last five years preparing my life’s Mise en place. Coming out, transition, surgery… surgery complications— but I am starting to feel like I finally got my mise en place ready and I’m ready to live and create the life I have been striving for. It’s funny how sometimes once you reach all of your transition or life goals you get a “now what?” Or “lost” feeling. But make no mistake, you are not lost — that is freedom. You no longer have to put all your emotional energy into fighting insurance, saving money for surgery, surgery recovery… the list goes on…. And for everyone out there still preparing your mise en place keep going, you will be ready to get cooking soon too 😁 . . As you can see by my purple hand, I still have one more surgery to go at some point, but i’ve got my mise en place for 2020 and im ready to fuckin live 🙌 . . #miseenplace #motivation #keepgoing #workout #phalloplasty #ftm #transgender #workout #transandinked #tattoo #life #dreams #onlinecoach #lgbtq #fitness #fitfam #ftmfitness https://www.instagram.com/p/B6XAuEighVz/?igshid=xs42h784gtzh
