Hello, do you have any suggestions for gender neutral names that aren't nouns? Thanks in advance!
Absolutely! I love a good noun name, but sometimes they just aren't a good fit.
Gender neutral names are always evolving (for example, as more girls are given neutral names, those names begin to be seen as strictly feminine; also, in most Western cultures, names ending in -a are seen as feminine or neutral and -o as masculine regardless of original intent). I've put a * next to the names that are, for the most part, the most ambiguous or evenly split between feminine and masculine at the moment. Please note that this is subject to change by time and region :)

I love that Jane Schoenbrun choose Jane for themselves because they had a deadline for locking the credits on World's Fair
Any other trans peeps in the UK find it hilarious that there isn't an actual document to change your name,
That you literally just get a piece of paper and write "I was whatever, now I'm whatever" and that's literally it,
No fucking government forms or sending stuff in, I mean, it's great, but it's also kinda funny I could write this shit on a napkin get two people to sign it and I'm done.
The first chosen name i picked for myself was "Valentin," and my dad tried to be supportive but would just. Forget what name it was and call me "Vincent" or "Vance" instead. Like not misgendering he got the gender right he could just for the life of him not remember the name i'd picked. Throwback

I love my name.
It's my own. I got to choose it. And it means so much to me
Beau
It's me. Its completely me.
It's been through a lot, and it's been dragged through the mud,
but that's what makes it even more meaningful
It has been with me through all my highests and lowests.
and through every person I have loved,
it has been there to love them with me,
and I think that's beautiful.
Trans ppl, how long did it take for you to settle on a different name?
I knew immediately 😎
Maybe a few months❓
Tbh a year or more🤭
I still don’t know/I kept my birth name😎
Asking for a friend /j it’s for me I’m asking for me I still don’t know my name and I’ve known I’m trans for like 3 years now🤪
