i started reading about candy darling because she was one of warhol's so called "superstars" in his artwork (amongst many trans individuals and drag queens that weren't named nor credited), and i started reading about *him* in an art magazine that talked about his work on observing society and the many communities that lied within.

and then i find out that candy darling wanted to be a hollywood star, and that she was involved in some movies. i thought, "why not look in youtube?" and i find this:

and there she is, blonde hair, pink bandana and glasses, gorgeous.

this song has been stuck in my head ever since i found out about this scene.
