Alright, I started reading Cinderella Closet and I now forgive the drama for putting Hikaru in that bluntly cut wig with the bayang because I now know, that’s how they did their hair in the manga. 😂
Hikaru is A LOT more blunt than in the drama, bordering on mean but it might just be a cultural difference for me so idk because Haruka likes it. Very Tsundere.
Another thing I’m very worried about for the ending of this series is a cop out of making Kurotaki a transphobe/homophobe and/or misogynist in order to “justify” why Haruka would pick Hikaru instead.
There’s a panel where Hikaru meets Kurotaki for the first time and kinda thinks “so, this is the kind of guy she wants.” Whilst Hikaru stands in a dress, wig, and heels. And I really once again hope this doesn’t go a “Grease” route where Hikaru dresses Masculine and uses he/him pronouns solely to try and get Haruka. But if the story does play into that I HOPE it’s done well.
This reminds me of a newer Princess Jellyfish and I’m very obsessed right now. Manga to drama wise I’m on episode 2/beginning of episode 3.
Leo Matsumoto is so pretty in this but I will NEVER forgive this wig. ‘Tis a ‘chop’ as the dolls say….
