mira and zoey want to write a version of takedown that targets jinu for being trans, painting him as a liar, a deceiver, and a potential abuser. rumi isn't sure how to keep them from saying these things.

during the idol awards, the saja boys disguise themselves as mira and zoey, and rip off rumi's skirt, revealing a bulge to fans and to her actual bandmates. mira and zoey feel lied-to and betrayed as they stare at rumi's revealed body.

rumi returns to celine, who drops the line about how she promised to protect all remnants of rumi's mother, but had no idea that that child would turn out like this. her "acceptance" is teaching her to perform idealized womanhood and hide herself. rumi rejects this and returns to the stage to face the world.

in this story, she addresses how celine's values have hurt all three of them, and mira and zoey find real acceptance for themselves and for rumi. rumi and jinu see a path towards acceptance as an out and proud t4t couple. rumi takes the time to consider whether bottom surgery would actually make her happy, and goes to the bathhouse with her friends in the meantime. the women's bathhouse.

I do consider any transmasc!Sora stuff to be wholly AU (mostly due to cultural stuff that got lost in translation- alpaca-clouds has a post that goes into more detail). But sometimes I don't give a shit about canon and want to project so yeahh.

I wonder who would introduce Sora to Kingdom Hearts, though? Oh! Biyomon! I've yapped at length as to how her line leans more masc the more she evolves. She'd support Sora no matter what, but I'm tempted to play with alternate evolution lines that reflect Sora's gender identity and acceptance of it. Sort of like activating the Crest of Love all over again. Also! Trans flag scarf for her!!!

Most of the other Digimon would be like :0 what happening :0. Gatomon I feel would be the exception, but would view it through the lens of Sora "evolving". Digimon don't understand gender as much as evolution, and there's no such thing as a bad evolution.

Imagine if Bushiroad was woke and brave enough to make the whole cast explicitly trans girls. So you're watching what looks like a awkward boy band anime when this obvious trans girl in the corner looks at the rest of the cast and just says "Interesting girls".
