#trains!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. . . .

But on the idea of the bullet train cybugs, maybe like ants they like to leave an invisible chemical trail that they like to follow (hence their tracks) maybe Japanese scientists find a way to see these tracks or add color to the invisible-tracks so regular day goers will avoid stepping on them in order to avoid distress to their beloved train bugs. Maybe because sometimes when people step on their chem trail it can “derail the tracks” the chemical sticking to their shoes or wheels causing new tracks to areas curious cybugs will explore but they should cause it’s not a “safe area”.

Then all the places the ninja themed bots could be are cool to think about. I like to think you can find many juveniles around areas with lots of sheet metal. To make their own little swords ⚔️.

Maybe to make sure they don’t destroy building materials construction workers purposely leave scrap sheet metal in piles far from the site for the bug-jas (ninja bugs) to craft their swords and armor.

And maybe some cautionary tales for tea pet owners. To never leave your tea pets near open doors or windows less you want a little ninja bug taking leisure spaces on or near your tea pet. Maybe they may attempt to to have you water them like your tea pet too. Tea pets with bowls are especially cautioned for owners that have them less you find many bug-jas resting in the tea water like a mini hot spring.

colouring the cybug tracks is such a cute idea... i imagine it looks a little like those metro maps but like. irl. and on the side of the street, where theres lil packs of bugs zipping back and forth...

at some point i bet people figure out how to manufacture/modify cybug tracks purposefully, and design around that... for the ones that travel further what if they had tiny lil cybug trainlines running alongside human ones! some train stations probably even have like. miniature models of the local landscape with replica tracks for cybugs...

OHHH THEY MAKE THEIR OWN SWORDS... oh my god. oh ym godddd,, im gonna freaking. ausioroicusughgh,,, nibbling on sheets of metal to make their lil swords... (imagine if the cybugs style their swords after their keeper's swords, and their keepers styled their armour based on their bugs i. ajsjiifiufuuuuvufuuyhghh,,,,,,,)

I've heard a lot of arguments on reddit and other platforms that your country's 'too big' for 'trains'.

Is this a stupid argument? I think so. You don't have to use all the land!

we do have trains, its one of the main ways we move stuff around our very big country.

as far as people carrying trains, we have that too, its called Amtrak, President Biden is famously a huge fan, every day he was a Senator he took the train from Delaware to DC and back, in fact when he left office as Vice-President thats how he left DC in 2017, by train, you might see him do it again when he leaves office as President.

any way, a big part of President Biden's Infrastructure Law was investing in trains, now these kinds of things take time, but they broke ground on a high speed rail from Southern California (just outside LA) to Las Vegas, just over 200 miles in just over 2 hours, the fastest way from LA to Vegas, yes faster than flying, if all works out it'll be open in 2028 just in time for the LA Olympics, comes see the games and the Vegas strip.

thats just the project thats closest to being finished, but they plan a high speed rail up and down California linking all its cities from Sacramento to San Diego, they want to bring high speed rail down south, plans to extend from Chicago to the Pacific North West, maybe link up New England

One of the "oh so THAT is why it is called that" moments i had in my life is one i learned that the first trams were pulled by horses

It's actually trains, which started when i was 2 and has been a constant special interest since then, i used to live near a train station and I loved them so much. I got a train set for my birthday that year which various relatives said isn't very "girly" (turns out i'm not a girl anyways) and even though I wasn't a Thomas the Tank Engine kid (disappointed as there were no diesel and electric trains on the show, although the wooden train models were epic). I still have absolutely no idea what I love so much about trains, the entire concept is awesome! The way they work is pretty tricky, and the overhead wires for electric trains must have taken a while to come up with and also the way the move is just so satisfying to watch and exist in, I like arriving at train stations half an hour before the train comes so that I can watch them still.

I think steam trains are cool too, but specifically teh cow plows on the front that are used to stop cows from getting run over by trains. I also like old tram methods of stopping people from getting run over, whoch is there is a scoop under the tram which drops upon impact, it means that instead of a gory mushed up tram wheel death, they would likely suffer a broken arm, possible concussion and continued life

I think I spent a while around then liking the older jet planes, specifically the one that drops fire when it crosses the sky on the 11th November (it does not do this anymore but there are still old army planes that go over)
