Attack of the Clones ReWrite: The First Sins of Skywalker
Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker arrives on his home-world of Tatooine.
Journeying through the port of Mos Espa, he finds his half-brother Owen at a shop. After a shocked but delighted reunion with his brother Owen introducing Anakin to his girlfriend Beru, they ask him to stay for dinner at his father's homestead later. After some catching up at the meal he reveals why's he's returned. He sensed their mother. A shock to Owen as they had though she'd been killed by Tusken Raiders years ago, even before the Jedi arrived. Anakin reminds him he only saw them take her away when their family was ambushed, it was just assumed she was killed after a few weeks of searching with no sign of them.
He thinks they took her to be a pack servant, an outsider whose been taken so they can carry their equipment and suffer beatings for her kind intruding on their world. He fears she's near death which is why he has been able to sense her recently after so long. He plans on heading into the desert to look, and asks if Owen wishes to join him. While at first unsure, he ultimately takes him up on the offer. Packing a blaster in case things go wrong. After days of searching, they find the Tuskan tribe who have her. Sneaking in they find her, grey and frail from the years of abuse at the Sand Peoples hands. Yet she's able to recognize her children, after a few brief words offering the hope they could save her, but alas she passes, they arrived too late. For a moment Anakin's appears be trying to rein in his emotions, only to yield as his face contorts into a scowl. Silently he walks out of the tent and ignites his saber beheading the Tusken sentry's, before shouting out:
"Animals! You are all animals!"
Owen rushes out too, blasting a Tusken charging at Anakin. Together the brothers attack the tribe's warriors in a rage, both intent on avenging their mother, but their both separated in the confusion.
Owen finds himself standing alone in the camp looking down at the dead, taken aback at their number, he goes in search of Anakin, he follows the saber scarred dead into a large tent. There he see's an even worse sight...
Anakin among the smoke, breathing heavily in anger filled lull, standing over the bodies of the tribes women and children who had hidden their when the fighting stated. Shocked, he can only utter:
"Anakin... What did you do?"
Skywalker looks to his brother in confusion, then his eyes widen, no longer blinded by his fury it suddenly occurs to him, the dark deed he had just commit.
"I... I didn't..."
But his words fail him. Letting out a quite ashamed "No..." as he drops his saber and sinks to his knees his face in his hands. The two return their mother to the homestead for burial. Beru can tell something more occurred, but Owen and Anakin are too ashamed to talk about it yet...

Was thinking about these pictures and wondered how their version of the Prequel's happened. I came up with this.
In it, Owen and Anakin are half-brothers, their mother marrying into the Larrs when Anakin as little.
We don’t know if Anakin intended to kill all of the Tuskens in the prequel's, since he’s not yet fully embraced his darker instincts at that point, I went for the “Kratos” route. Where he was so caught up in the fighting he didn’t realize he’d also killed the civilian Tuskan's until it was too late.
Owen has a bigger role here. In this AU, he’d go on to join his brother as a pilot volunteer during the Clone Wars, and see first hand Anakin at his best and worse. Alongside Obi-Wan, Rex, and Ahsoka.
Haven’t decided if Padme was with him on this trip or not. This is just a summery of an idea, so she could be.
I picture these events being illustrated in a painted style comic book.
