Get out.” Azumi (my neighbour) said to me when I got tired of she talking to me from across her kitchen so I walked in, in order to not have to yell answers back. I was shocked because where I come from, men cook too. The kitchen is not for women only. To think that somewhere in the world, a boy is struggling because he wants to be a chef but his family will disown him if they ever see him near a kitchen, whilst the sister who hates to cook gets a beating if she refuses to cook.
