I am thinking about Alastor. Touch-repusled, disguted with public display of affection Alastor. I love him for that. I love that he is disguted by sex, I love that he is disgusted by the idea of touching (he shaked Lucifer's cane when he met him, not his hand), I LOVE that he loves his personal space.
Now, imagine that you're a new sinner arriving at the hotel. You're a bit on edge, ended up in hell because of misfortune and tried to make the most of it. But when you heard about that redemption hotel ? Yeah, anything is better than hell. You love it here, people are depressed but at least they're trying to be positive. The thing is, maybe it's a bit too positive...Everyone is super nice, or at least polite, especially the princess. Charlie is always first to come up with some kind of therapeutic activity, and it's great ! But perhaps she is a tiny bit too...Exited.
not to sound like a complete slut, but can i have a hug and maybe some reassurance that u actually care about me pls
what if i took your ‘looks like he’d give good hugs’ martin blackwood and made him touch repulsed what then
The constant pressure for people to give hugs, shake hands, or otherwise touch people is touch-normative and asenphobic. It is also ableist, because a lot of people are touch repulsed due to physical pain, sensory issues, anxiety/paranoia, or other symptoms of neurodivergence or physical/sensory disability.

Btw your f/o(s) understand if you don't want to be touched sometimes. Even if it's most of the time! Even if it's all the time!! They might not start out knowing but they will take no as an answer, and if they are upset it's because you aren't feeling good, not at you. Never at you. And if the best way to make sure you feel better is to not touch, they are happy to do just that, as long as you need <3
I was discussing being asexual with someone today and they just couldn't understand that I have no interest for anything like that
"It's normal to be scared!"
"I'm not scared, I just don't want to do that kind of stuff."
"Oh, you say that now, but you will change your mind!"
"I've been like this for as long as I can remember. I don't even like people touching me unless I know and trust them."
"You just need to grow up!"
"I'm literally an adult."
Why can't people just realize that not everyone is like them? Everyone is different and has different experiences and preferences and situations. People can be different! People can have different preferences! It's not that hard to understand!
There's something unsettling to me about how many people in the Hazbin Hotel Fandom have reacted so excitedly about Vox having Alastor tied up, forcing Alastor to watch him have sex with Val, standing naked in front of him, being very touchy with him and constantly invading his space, it doesn't seem sexual or like good shipping material to me, it's well known Alastor is asexual and touch repulsed and he clearly hates everything Vox did to him. It just makes me uncomfortable how so many people seem to have enjoyed these interactions, to me those scenes are gross and frightening. They're good scenes in that they show how obsessive and touchy Vox is which is very relevant later on, but that doesn't seem to be how many people are interpreting it
