DJED SPENCE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
in which you come across a handsome footballer in a hotel lobby. both unable to fall asleep.
a/n : okay iāve been wanting to write something for Djed so HERE IT ISSSS. his natural aegyo is so refreshing
I actually really liked writing this so enjoy!!!
Djed got back to the hotel after an intense away game.
Not completely, there was the occasional hum of the elevator, the distant buzz of traffic outside, the clink of glasses being stacked behind the bar.
Everyone else had headed to bed, except for him. Head still buzzing from the match, brain refusing to switch off.
Showered. Scrolled on his phone, watched half an episode of a dumb reality tv show he already couldnāt remember the name of.
He was tossing and turning in his bed, counting sheep, staring at the ceiling for what felt like hours to him.
When he finally looked at the time
He tried everything he could, nothing helped. Replaying every pass, every touch, every missed opportunity. Even if theyād won the game. Djed was a perfectionist.
He sat up on his bed, looking around the dark room. Lightly illuminated by the city lights outside. He got up, walked to the bathroom and splashed some cold water on his face.
His body was physically exhausted, but his mind wasnāt.
He pulled on a grey t-shirt over his head and slipped his room key into his pocket.
Maybe a drink would help.
The lobby was almost empty when the elevator doors opened. A receptionist tapped away on her keyboard behind the desk, barely looking up as Djed crossed the marble floor across from her, heading towards the small hotel cafƩ tucked away into a corner of the hotel.
Thatās when he saw you.
Curled up on one of those fluffy comfy hotel chairs. Because you also couldnāt sleep either. You had an early flight home in the morning, so youāve just been reading and playing on your phone. Doing anything to keep your mind busy.
āThought i was the only insomniac.ā
You looked up. Recognizing the familiar face youāve seen on tv multiple times. You werenāt a big football fan but you watched some games during big tournaments.
You looked back down at your book before answering,
āThought footballers were supposed to be asleep by ten.ā
That earned you a small laugh from him.
He shrugged, walking over.
āWhat are you doing awake?ā
He gently sat down across from you, getting comfortable as he looked at you. Scanning your features.
āI could ask you the same thing.ā
He smiled again, sighing as he stretched his legs under the table. āI couldnāt switch my brain off.ā
You looked up, smiling. āBig win?ā
He raised an eyebrow. āYeah kind of.ā
You nod, eye flickering towards his figure. His biceps, his sharp face, his tight gray shirt hugging him perfectly. He looked good. There was no denying that.
The conversation instantly flowed. He was easy to talk to, naturally funny without trying too hard, always finding a way to make you laugh. He was obviously confident, but not cocky.
You talked about football and your own career. The media, the pressure, he easily opened up to you, which was shockingly nice and unexpected.
He kept flirting too, nothing too obvious. Small remarks, lingering touches, borrowing your hoodie because the hotelās air conditioning was ātoo coldā.
At some point he even convinced you to go on a walk around town, claiming that London was nice at two in the morning. And you followed his lead.
This was your first time in London, the city was beautiful. You loved everything about it. The building, the shops, the people.
You played silly games, rock paper scissors to decide which corner to turn, buying random snacks from vending machines and ranking them, sharing a pair of headphones and listening to each otherās playlist. He even gave you back your hoodie, even though he was freezing. Your hands lightly brushing accidentally and neither of you pulling away.
You sat on a bridge. A small green bench overviewing the city. You watched the empty streets, eating the remaining of the snacks youād bought.
You talked about your plans for the future, laughing and being happy.
At some point, you mentioned the fact that you would probably never see each other again after tomorrow.
You watched the frown for on his face. Head dropping to look at his hands in his lap.
Then āThatās kind of the problem.ā
It was your turn to frown now, head tilting. āWhat is?ā
āI donāt actually want this to be the last time.ā
That made you smile, you slowly leaned your head on his shoulder. Taking in the view one last time.
His heart was secretly racing, the contact feeling so sudden but natural.
The walk back to the hotel was more quiet. You walked next to each other, mostly in silence, except for the occasional brief joke. You kept catching a few glances at him.
He was truly beautiful, the city lights hitting his face perfectly.
His lashes, his nose, his pretty pink lips and his dark soft eyes. You just couldnāt stop staring.
He walked you all the way to your room, it felt shorter than you wanted it to.
Maybe it was because neither of you had the courage to talk. Not because it was awkward. Because every look seemed to say enough.
You didnāt want any of this to end, neither did he.
The elevator doors slid open with a soft chime. You stepped inside together, shoulders pressed together, neither of you moved.
Djed looked over. āYouāve gone quiet.ā
He smiled to himself. āGuess i donāt want the night to end.ā
Your heart skipped. āI dont either.ā
The words hung heavily between the two of you, as the elevator climbed.
When the doors opened at your floor, you walked side by side until you reached your room.
You stopped, key card held tightly in your hand.
āSoā¦ā you whispered.
āSo.ā He mimicked your tone.
Neither of you moved, too scared for the moment to end.
But then he laughed, softly, rubbing the back of his neck. āIāve spent the last few hours talking your ears off, ad now i dont even know what to say.ā
āI got you speechless?ā
āI know. itās concerning.ā
You smiled, shaking your head. āI had a really good time tonight.ā
His expression softened. āYeah?ā
He took a small step closer, closing the gap a little more.
āIām so glad you couldnāt sleep.ā
There was barely any space left between you. His eyes searched yours, gaze quickly falling to your lips. āCan i kiss you?ā
You answered by closing the distance yourself.
The kiss was slow, but tentative.
Like neither of you wanted to rush the moment, but were still so eager to achieve.
You pulled away first, your foreheads rested together.
āYou can come in, if you want.ā
He smirked, reaching for your hand. āIāll like that.ā
The door clicked shut behind you, leaving the city and the sleepless night outside the room.
IM SCARED TO MESS IT UP WITH SMUT ARGGGDAGDHA
