i start my new job this morning and my scrub pants slosh together because of the material and my thick thighs :( i feel so insecure and i’m so self conscious about my hips being too curvy for me to not “pass enough”. not to mention my outfit colors are giving target or state farm vibes. i hope my first day goes better than i’m already feeling. pls send good vibes, i’m so anxious.
I don’t think I have fully processed that the to the moon franchise is ending. This is genuinely an end of an era. I don’t know how else to say it but To The Moon was THE game that made me want to try out indie games overall, in fact it was the game that made me want to try out more story-focused videogames in general. I was a huge fan of the first game and I excitedly awaited for the sequel and it turned out that the sequel was not only better but one of the most impactful stories i’ve ever experienced, few stories hit close to home as much as this one did. Two beautiful videogames with their own stand-alone stories but oh what’s that? There is an overarching story throughout these two games and its minisodes? There is a lot of unanswered answers? There is a huge mystery with a lot of theories in your mind? Well, don’t worry, cause we have the third game that drives you insane from start to finish and it gives you some answers but also more questions! And after that you get a nice little comic to tie things up! It seems things will be okay even if we don’t have all the answers- oh what’s that? Oh. We are getting a last game. A game that will truly conclude this story that started in 2011. Two games in fact. One is a RPG parody, the other is a beach episode. They will both be incredibly important. Okay.
It makes me sad that a lot of people have ONLY seen/played the first game, many haven’t even done that. You have no idea what an insane experience you’re missing. Do yourself a favor and play this franchise. Play To the moon, play the To the moon minisodes, play A Bird Story, play Finding Paradise, play Impostor Factory and in just 2 weeks play the To The Moon Beach Episode. They are all very short and easy to play games. They are also of course, very beautiful and emotional. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
