In 4 degrees (Celsius), @missrebeccaj and I were on the @littlesisterto patio feigning the finest Canadian optimism we could muster on the last day of #torontopatio life for the foreseeable future. • We each tried a couple of @djrobinjames incredible libations, but the one in this fancy vessel is called #Ubud Hangout: @bombaysapphire East Gin + @patron Silver Tequila + @sombramezcal + black pepper + jalapeño + cucumber + lime + cilantro. It was refreshing and dangerous - you could taste the spirits, but it was easy-drinking and very refreshing (insert Seinfeld quote here). #Gin, #Tequila, and #Mezcal would normally make a girl boozy and belligerent, but here we are sipping away delightfully demure. • Little Sister on Portland at their #downtowntoronto was a great escape on Friday. The interior design is inspired, but you wouldn’t know it from the unassuming exterior with its cozy patio. • We tried a number of sharing plates and a couple of cocktails and everything was fantastic. It would survive takeout/ delivery well, so give them a call for #takeoutdaycanada, won’t you? • I’m disappointed in the reinstated restrictions especially having seen footage of @yorkdalestyle mall. @fordnationdougford is a demonstrated imbecile who needs to admit that these restrictions perpetually line his pockets. He clearly does not support the small businesses who voted him in (you know I didn’t vote for a man who tried to fix the mayoral election, has stated multiple times that he wants to destroy the city of #toronto, and who dropped out of grade 10 to sell dr09z). • If you’ve made it this far, nicely done! Last time the government told us indoor dining would happen they cancelled it a couple of days before. . After I just spent thousands on food, liquor + custom indoor tables that I still cannot use. . Some people are thinking this is a 𝗣𝗥 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗻𝘁 by the government before a 3rd lockdown. . This weekend was a glimmer of hope I always thought this place could be. . I know alot of people marched this weekend here in Toronto, 50-70K in London, Germany + many other parts of the world. . 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉, 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉? . Still so many Businesses closed, gyms, salons, barbershops + those restaurants with no patio. . The US has already printed 30% more money + Canada's budget deficit is already 20% of our GDP (4𝙩𝙝 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙) . The rich is just getting rich (especially the government who is controlling all of this). . I mean the Romans use to do this to the public. I just wonder what the big scheme of all this is, cuz to me it's not a pandemic if society is so divided, many doctors except for Toronto + Peel disagree. And the same amount of people died last year compared to the year before. .
