When starting this blog, I knew I wanted to touch on some travel ideas because it is something I really love to do and hope to do more of after school. I thought to tie in my love for swimwear with the best spots you would need that swimsuit!

I think my favourite season would have to be when the sun is out and the weather is warm enough to travel to different beaches. This is a little hard given I am currently in the Midwest, but whenever my family and I visit our family in Australia we like to visit as many beaches possible from Sydney down the coast to Wollongong and Bateman’s Bay.

With a little help from Business Insider, I have created a top 5 list of beaches in the world to share with you today. Keep in mind – these beaches have been chosen by 632 of the world’s top travel professionals ranging from experienced travel journalists, travel agents, and bloggers.

Number one on the list is Grace Bay located in Turks and Caicos. It is described as a seriously “awe-inspiring stretch of sand in the world”. It has colourful barrier reefs that keep swells at bay, allowing swimmers to enjoy the plush sands without treading on rocks or seaweed (yes please!).

Second on the list is Whitehaven Beach located in Queensland, Australia. It is said to have the whitest sand on earth, and untouched natural beauty that is best viewed by helicopter. Also stated to “make you believe in a tropical utopia with glowing sands and crystalline beaches”.

Next in line is Anse Lazio, located in Seychelles. To give you a better idea- it is northeast of Madagascar. This beach is recognized for its picturesque views and vivid colours. It is also described to have white sand, emerald waters and a lush jungle backed by granite boulders. What a dream!

Coming in fourth is Pink Sands Beach located in the Bahamas. The island is known for its stunning pastel pink sand and mellow waters protected by an offshore coral reef. The colour is made by bright red and pink shells of the microscopic Foraminifera insects.

The fifth top beach is Navagio Beach located on Zakynthos Island in Greece. Visitors travel from around the world the view the famous ship wreck called Panagiotis, and to experience the gorgeous blue water, white cliffs and sand.

I don’t know about you, but I so wish I could escape the winter months to come and visit any of these destinations! I think my first choice would be Navagio... I can’t get over the beauty of the cliffs! Check back next week for the best foods to pack for a day at the beach.
