In this annual ranking, there are some really great films made by women. Unfortunately, for the second year in a row, I have miserably failed the 52 Films by Women Challenge 😩 That needs to change! Fortunately, 2026 looks quite promising, with new films from Chloé Zhao, Georgia Oakley, and Mona Fastvold, among others. Goodbye 2025, long live 2026!
