This a little one shot post-TOWNIE fanfic I made where Tonya Sinclair helps Billy Hargrove celebrate his birthday. TOWNIE is a Harringrove & Buckleway fanfic. Made by me

It was the reek of alcohol off of Billy’s breath that really worried Tonya. Billy said he didn’t need anyone to tell him how to celebrate his own birthday party. Nobody could possibly know how to celebrate his own birthday better than himself.

That night Billy had continued to drown his anxieties in beer can after beer can. Until the police eventually came to crash his party.

The next thing anyone knew was that once Billy Hargrove had sobered up he was making a phone call. He had a close friend on the other end of the line ready to pick him up from the back room of the police station. Since he’d somehow gotten himself detained for public indecency again.

“So this is how you spend your birthday, Hargrove?” Tonya Sinclair questions Billy, a little uncertain how their friend got in such a precarious situation yet at the same time Tonya was not much surprised at all.

“This right here is nothing, Sinclair! It’s basically tradition. But instead of the likes of you my old man’s usually the one accompanying me for the ride back home.” Billy knows that him bringing up Neil Hargrove makes the atmosphere tense for a second. However it’s not like Billy wasn’t telling the truth. It’s not like Tonya didn’t know the truth.

Almost as if their reaction had been scheduled on cue Tonya countered by plainly stating. “Well remember one thing for me. Okay, Hargrove? I’m nothing like your old man. ”

Billy grins “That’s for damn sure! Thanks for the help, Sinclair!”

“Don’t mention it. After all It's your birthday right?” Tonya scoffs at him then lightly taps Billy on the shoulder like it’s no big deal.

Nonchalantly Tonya opens the passenger door to their brown Toyota corolla for Billy. Tonya then begins cross examining Billy about his big day “So, did you get what you wanted?”

“Yeah, a friend like you.” Billy Hargrove slyly answered.

Tonya Sinclair rolls their eyes and can’t help but let out a wheeze of laughter “Don’t tempt fate, Hargrove!”
