—AFTER YEARS OF RELENTLESS BULLYING, Melody was finally miles away from anyone she ever knew. She would get a completely new start in a small town where everyone knew each other, which meant everyone was nice, right?

Though she managed to escape the pressure from her peers, the pressure from her parents continues to loom over her and becomes suffocating. Melody has spent her whole life being the perfect daughter, perfect sister, perfect friend. She was ready to let herself be imperfect, even if it meant disaster would follow. 

In her raging teenage angst, she meets Clark Kent, the boy next door. He's kind, understanding, and introduces her to her new friends who are nicer to her than anyone she's ever known. Clark also has a secret, one he won't share willingly, but a secret revealed to her in a freak accident that leaves her with some abilities of her own, thanks to the necklace her distant aunt gifted her years ago. 

What exactly is this necklace, and why did it wreak such havoc on Melody's life? 

What will Clark do now that Melody knows his secret? How can he trust her after so little time?

What is it about the dangerous situations they seem to get themselves into that keep pulling them closer towards one another, and what happens when Melody realizes the extent of her feelings?

When love mixes with danger, and a meta-human from Krypton meets something he's never seen before, things are bound to get chaotic.

if you've kept up with my account, i'm sure this fic is a little out of place. i usually mostly do anime stories, but i am also interested in other things of course lol, and my smallville obsession has slowly began to take over. it helps that tom welling as clark kent is so DREAMY.

anyways, onto the disclaimer-

this story will have graphic depictions of violence, death, depression, possibly sex and/or sexual scenes, and some slightly ooc depictions. this also does not go according to dc universe, and will mostly follow the smallville plot though not to the exact details.

that being said, i do not own anything other than my original plot lines and the main character melody carter, who is completely personizable so you can imagine yourself in the story :3

my main goal in many of my stories is to make them inclusive for all readers regarding appearance (race, weight, height, hair color/type, etc.), however, this story does have set ages and maybe even height since clark in smallville is 6'3".

if there is anything else, i will add them into the chapters as disclaimers at the top.
