About Tommy Thayer’s sound
It was the beginning of November, 2013.
I was stunned at the KISS sound, the great melodies and the chorus work in front of the monitor. It was the footage of the live broadcasted concert at Budokan in Tokyo held on October 24th, 2013.
Especially, I riveted my eyes(ears?) on the lead guitarist.
At the first tune 'Psycho Circus', he started to play the main melody.
Just one stroke.
His sound blew my mind.
After that, I kept thinking "Who is the guitarist?" until the end of the show.
He was Tommy Thayer.
The footage was edited and rebroadcasted several times. I recorded them on Blu-ray discs and enjoy again and again so far.
"Monster" is my most favorite album ever in my life. Especially, I love Tommy's play in 'Freak', 'Shout Mercy' and 'Last Chance'. I feel his sound is loud & thick, full, and something warm. I really love it.
I also checked his discography referencing the information on his official website. I love to listen to them. I love his hard-rock-oriented style.
I am a fan of Tommy Thayer, perhaps rather than KISS.
The other day, something inspired me: Tommy Thayer's sound is "Vintage and timeless".
