a goal of mine in a creative project is to have a transgender character who has their story told through a tran metaphor, works through it and then, importantly, comes out as trans at the end of the arc and actually transitions.
i see a lot of trans metaphors in media and even the odd explicitley trans character but i dont think ive ever seen a character activley come out as trans and be reffered to differently. not to devalue the representation of these metaphors/characters but i think its interesting how i have seen characters work through their sexuality, be already transgender etc. and i have never seen a character activley transition and use different pronouns in different parts of the story.
i think its odd. not good or bad but odd, as it its such an interesting angle to look at. but i dont have much else to say for now. ill keep working through it. i think itll be refreshing to see. also let me know if you have any ocs that come out as trans/not cisgender in their story. id love to hear!
