The most surprising thing about the scene that surrounded Coldplay might be the fact many participants of the brand managed to achieve huge successes. Seriously, the noughts gave many of these bands a taste of huge success. However, we must admit they also had the tunes, which deserved these positive results. For instance, Snow Patrol's anthems, such as the one in the link, continue to astound us with their incredible melodies and Lightbody's vocals. The latter in particular remains a bit underappreciated. You see, whereas many of his peers compete in misery, he imbues his voice with a certain gentleness that also contains some grit. I mean, their greatest hit flies very high, yet he doesn't lose control over the entire composition.
