I also, obviously, really like Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side Story. It’s hard to choose between 2nd and 3rd, because they’re good in different ways. Though 1st has the best teacher route.

moving on to non-Tokimeki games....

I play a lot of the android otome games, or at least ‘played’. Just a whole lotta Shall We Date games. Some are really good, or at least their characters are. The stand out ones for me are:

Nick the Pale Ghost from Niflheim (the heroine is really pretty in her stylized form)

Luca from Wizardess Heart

Minamoto Yoshitsune from Destiny Ninja

and last but NOT least

Kyle from Lost Alice (let me take a moment here to appreciate that Lost Alice is AMAZING, and Alice is AMAZING AND WONDERFUL AND ALL PROTAGONISTS SHOULD WISH TO BE HER)

I also like some of the other games like the Cygames ones. Specifically Midnight Cinderella, which is a neat if pretty basic story, but with some top tier boys. Specifically

yes in case you can’t tell a lot of my evaluation of otome games come from the routemates, because the protagonists and stories are often not much to speak of.

and I keep trying to play Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome.

The boys aren’t anything to look at, but at first I really liked the protagonist. Unfortunately, she’s just...ugh. SO GRATING. She’s so emotionally fragile that she collapses at the lightest tap, and it gets exhausting to read through her constantly throwing pity parties and imagining the worst possible result for anything.
