Here’s a new dog toile I designed for Spoonflower’s upcoming “Your Artistic Voice” challenge which is their 500th contest. The theme allows the designer to design anything they want and is supposed to reflect your individual personality as an artist. Since two of my previous toile designs have made it into the Top Ten in previous challenges, I decided to do another toile. I’ve been wanting to do a dog toile for awhile and this was a good excuse to stop procrastinating and get it done. The dogs and other animals in the design are all based on photos that I took throughout my life. Their are my collie and rabbit from my youth, my sheltie from my thirties, other dogs and a cat from my forties/fifties, my sister’s Jack Russell, and my current dog Poppy in two different poses.
