you’re literally my fav creator in this fandom and I just got back into CK/TKK after 4 years so seeing your work is literally like being blesseddd!!!! before I only really liked Daniel and Binary Boyfriends but now after rewatching the movies and CK back to back I’m so obsessed with Terry + Cobra husbands!!! 🥹 ( and just all the sensei hijinks… ) and the stuff you make of them is truly so amazing!!! I remember on your twitter you posted a chart of all the senseis and how they think of one another with arrows, I couldn’t make some out very well since a lot was overlapping and I remember you said something along the lines of “ask if your curious” and I AM!!!!!!!! I love the way you perceive their relationships and just the show in general, you have such an incredible mind, so I’d love to see/hear all about what you wrote on the map + more !!! You’re so talented also like I just love seeing your stuff 🥹🫰
oh my god anoonnnniee... i LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!! thank you for comin back and HEY, welcome back to the karate show nonsense that literally NEVER ends even though exams and work kicked us all in the noggin! I AM HAPPY TO PULL UP THE SENSEI FUCKERY MAP I AM SO DEARLY PROUD OF; with a COMPLETELY retroactive revamp!
idk. i love the weird love polygon they're all in of complicated feelings. yeaah, mike barnes is in the cuck chair right now, but he kinda furnished it himself... LOL? i can't individually run through every single visual i have for all six of them (and also some of them are kind of obvious ahaha, an example being johnny and daniel) but like. if i could go through my personal favorites:
i'm always a big fan of silver and chozen and that weird fucked up "honor the person who saved you" thing they have, as well as the way they foil each other so well in season 4 and 5. it sets up one of my favorite parallelistic dynamics between cobra husbands and danzen, where chozen would rather die for daniel and silver would kill for kreese... something about that sacrificiality of losing your life versus the strength it takes to take a life. silver could never die - was always too scared to do so - and chozen could never kill. not again, not ever. and also they definitely needed to fuck LMAO
likewise kreese and daniel are so interesting to me too. from the perspective of kreese being the disproving father of johnny's trying to wedge them apart but also. daniel is stubborn and naive at times but he does have this fundamental understanding of what kreese did to johnny and how it plays so much into why johnny is the way he is. how they will never understand each other but the love they both have for johnny, however complicated it may be, is always going to be there. of course daniel won that battle, but. kreese will always be there. a ghost
wolf and johnny can also be really delicious beyond their surface level rivalry. johnny got saved, johnny got the support he needed. wolf is still young meat in the fight of life; he's still living with the belief that, if he doesn't fight for what he wants, or if he isn't ruthless, he'll be left behind. it's really interesting to kinda think about what johnny sees in wolf - if he finds a younger version of himself - and if he'd ever think wolf worth forgiving. it also makes wolf's loss a lot more compelling, almost like a wakeup call
anyways. thank you for comin' into the inbox and giving me an excuse to talk about my favorite little wormy old guys. i love shuffling them all around like cards; it's my favorite way to practice media analysis and also give myself a personal form of therapy hahahaha. i'll put some of the individual slides of that messy gif bubble below this line right here. but THANKS and feel free to BOMB my inbox with ALL the questions! I NEVER tire of talking about these old fellas!
