Something that makes me really emotional with “Todd Todd Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me” is thinking about Ned and Todd’s old relationship 💔
There’s a few instances in older Simpsons media that show how close specifically Ned and Todd are, since they’re supposed to be the opposite of Homer and Bart and. UUUUGGGHHHH. Todd loves his dad so much and seeing how Ned treats him in newer eps breaks my heart!
The biggest part of Flanderization I hate is when they end up making Ned a jerk just to exaggerate his traits like religion, it feels so out of character to me.
I could rant about TTWHTFM forever I have such mixed feeings on it. I’m really glad it exists because the plot is amazing and I love that they focused on Todd’s grief but GOOODDD Ned is such a jerk it ruins the ep for me… Even if it was a plot device it left a bad taste in my mouth. The ending was just really dumb and lackluster too, prime example of The Simpsons ruining intresting character arcs by not letting them extend into future eps

here are some inconsistencies from the first ep! mainly ned’s fuzzy collar on his big coat and the miscolouring on todd’s red jacket. i don’t know how often i’ll draw animation errors like this but here are some nonetheless!
