This scene makes me shed tears.
Italian Journal #1
I tried to talk a little bit about my holidays and life the past two weeks in Italian. Just to practice writing fluently a bit more. Still Iām very nervous to upload it, please donāt laugh about my weird sentence structure, easy choice of words and ridiculous content. Iād really rather like it if you could correct my mistakes so I can learn from them. It would make me really really really happy :) So without further ado ...Ā
Domani rivedo mia amica Robin. Ho vedere lei tre mese fa! Spero che questa fine settimana diventa buona. Ā
As I already said Iām really thankful if someone could correct this and give me some advice because I havenāt found a native Italian speaker yet whoād like to be my language exchange partner :DĀ
Hope you have a wonderful day and a great weekend (I still donāt know if fine settimana is what you actually say when talking about the weekend in Italian ... well)!
degenezijde replied to your post:ok, this chapter is fine, only 18.000 words with a...
I shall hire some of my pupils to come sit next to you and nag about how five pages is too long a story.
*hollow laughter*
ok but, what if just let them hire me as a ghostwriter
ok, this is the last one
so, we got promo pictures, we got dante references and we didnāt get our main character which seems kinda odd. it seemed to me scott could easily takeĀ danteās place in the story of inferno, going down to the center of hell as he learned to recognize the issues he should be helping his pack with. now iām wondering if that isnāt how scott already sees those people instead.
lydia is in limbo and we can understand limbo in a non-religious way. it could easily be the case she needs saving or that lydia is in a situation in which, as wikipedia put it, ānothing can be done until another action happensā. we know from the trailer scott becomes aware of lydiaās situation and that he is involved with the plan of getting her out of eichen.
i donāt think it would be difficult for scott to connect malia with lust because of s4e02:
stiles: So it's like two in the morning, I wake up and she's just lying right next to me. She just sneaks in. This was like five times a week. scott: And then what happens? stiles: This. scott: Holy... stiles: Yeah. Right on, right? After that we spent the rest of the night spooning. scott: That sounds okay. stiles: Yeah, but I'm always the little spoon. Always. scott: This means you guys are together, right? You're dating?
even if we go with lust being connected to her instincts vs. the rules, scott still has enough to connect malia with it. he as present in s5Ae02 when we get this moment:
stiles: Yet. If Theoās parents are both psychotic killers then obviously, we should not trust him, right? malia: My parents are Peter and the Desert Wolf.
and he seemed to doubt her like everyone else when she claims she didnāt kill tracy.
scott has actually been told decaulion is all about power. in s3Ae01, he already gets that pointed out:
derek: A pack of 'em. An alpha pack. scott: All of them? How does that even work? derek: I hear there's some kind of a leader. He's called Deucalion.
and itās made more than clear in s3Ae10:
jennifer: Deucalion doesn't just want an alpha pack. He wants perfection and that means adding the rarest of alphas to his ranks.
just knowing deucalion kills his betas could be enough to think of him as someone who over-indulges in power.
then we have meredith and greed. scott could associate her with people who attempted to kill him as well as friends and others he knew for money or he could connected her with hunters who abandoned their code for money as pointed out in s4e10:
scott: They're hunters, aren't they? chris: Not if they're killing for profit. Not anymore.
or he could think about her in relation to his own reluctance to give back to derek the money he got from garett.
chris being heretic seems easy to explain. he went from following a code and threatening scott quite often to being a person scott relies on, someone who protects scott.
scott: You're really going with them? chris: I made a deal with the Calaveras weeks ago. They'll leave you alone, all of you, but only if I help them catch Kate.
then we have stiles as violence and, more specifically, the outer ring (tyrants and murderers). scott ended the season believing stiles committed a violent murder and the only explanation scott got came from theo in a description of a violent attack in s5Ae09:
theo: I saw Donovan go down. Stiles hit him with the wrench, and then... he just... he just kept hitting him. Maybe it was because he... He threatened to kill his dad. Or maybe Stiles thought he had to keep going to defend himself, but he just... He kept hitting him. scott: That's not possible. theo: He crushed that kid's skull. I heard it cracking and splintering. By the time I pulled Stiles off him, half of Donovan's head was caved in.
we know scott is aware theo is not what/who he says he is now. he also knows theo is involved in getting him separated from his pack which fits the fact theo is fraud and bolgia 9 (those who promote schisms). s5Ae10 made both these points clear.
and then we have kira with treachery and i couldnāt figure why she would be in judecca. unless scott could be considered her benefactor in some way like being the alpha? so what if he feels betrayed because she willingly left? not only they needed her in the chimera hunt but scott himself needed her and didnāt want her to go as he states in s5Ae08:
scott: Kira, I don't want you to leave. kira: And I don't want to hurt anyone. Especially you. scott: You're not going to hurt anyone.
so it could be that instead of scott playing dante and learning to recognize the sins would come as scott already seeing those sins and coming back from them?

the pack theo wanted
so theo in s5e10 says he wants a very specific pack:
theo: I never lied about why I came to Beacon Hills. I'm here for a pack. I came for the werecoyote, the one whose first instinct is to kill. I came for the banshee, the girl surrounded by death. I came for the dark kitsune. The beta with anger issues. I came for void Stiles. That's the pack I want. Unfortunately, it doesn't include Scott.
this seems interesting to me for a few reasons.
1. theo doesnāt seem to just want a pack, he seems to want a dark one
both the banshee and void stiles are, at least, part of who lydia and stiles are (which is interesting because both of them got jump-started by a supernatural being but iām sidetracking). we get reminded in s5 a couple times that the banshee is part of who lydia is, one of those times being during the finale:
lydia: What was I doing? parrish: Trying to keep me alive. lydia: Well. Sorry, but the banshee was mostly trying to stay out the rain. That was the night of the storm, remember?
lydia is connected to death, like theo said. and for all the speculation around void stiles there is a very clear nod to how stiles describes feeling when donovan died.
theo: There he is! that's void Stiles. It felt good, didn't it?
in s5e07:
theo: Did you feel bad about it? Not now. I mean right then,Ā right when it happened. What were you thinking the moment you knew he was dead and there was no saving him? stiles: One word. Good.
we know theo sent donovan after stiles. if he wanted a violent pack all a long, it could be the case he wanted stiles to kill donovan.
we are told in s3B coyotes, ravens and foxes are tricksters but until s5 nothing led us to believe kiraās fox was dark. we know theo accuses the doctors of promising him a pack in s5e09 and we know the doctors seem to be the reason for kiraās kitsune spirit to be out of control. i wonder if there is a relation between those things?
theo is the one to bring up the real werewolf conversation with liam and he keeps feeding his anger after scott denies hayden the bite:
theo: Guys, I don't know what the statistics are for surviving a werewolf bite, but she's definitely not surviving this.
theo is the one to trap scott inside the library and he could easily tell liam where to find him (regardless of how liam got in).
and theo also locked the bone-marrow chimera at the hospital so he could have the time to track down malia and send her to the hospital to find him. theo does tell malia they need help, but in the same conversation he says this:
theo: Did you tell Scott you're planning to kill your mother? Don't worry, I'm not judging. I want to help you.
he tells malia the chimeras are dangerous and that they need her. he doesnāt tell her not to kill.
2. if theo wants the pack he describes, why is he willing to discard them?
if the dark kitsune theo mentions is kira, like it seems, it makes sense he let her go because he needed to stay quiet about his plans until the supermoon.
but theo making stiles choose between the two people he fears losing the most is just purposefully hurtful and quite unlikely to get theo a step closer to his ideal pack.
one can argue theo wanted stiles to abandon scott no matter what. he opens the conversation suggesting to stiles he lost scott to the point they canāt work together even if it means saving people, he reminds stiles he doesnāt fit (he has too much blood on his hands already), he points out stiles canāt act on violent desires that feel good over fear of losing scott and he outright tells stiles he doesnāt need scott before making stiles choose between saving father or his best friend.
losing lydia was a necessary evil. theo wanted to find the nemeton more than he wanted to guarantee the safety of lydiaās mind.
it seems to me theo wanted the beta with anger issues to kill his alpha. if what deaton told scott in s5e02 means only liam could take scottās alpha status
deaton: Personally, I'm more interested in how these talons somehow were able to absorb your power. The only one who should be able to do that is a beta of your own making. scott: Someone like Liam.
either theo wanted to take it from liam or he didnāt mind liam having that power.
the only one theo goes out of his way to continue pursuing is malia. he doesnāt reveal his plans to her. he offers to teach her the full shift and to help her kill her mother. itās interesting theo doesnāt seem to want to lose malia.
3. the fact theo doesnāt want scott around
it could be a grab for scottās alpha power (set stiles up so he kills donovan, set malia up so she kills bone-marrow chimera, get stiles to not help scott, get liam to kill scott, kill liam, be the alpha of a pack of killers, hope lydia and kira will go along) but if that was all, theoās change of plans would be quite odd.
it could be he doesnāt think scott is not corrupted enough. this would also be odd given how scottās werewolf shift changed (itās been pointed out by quite a few people it different occasions how it got corrupted. here itās an example) and how scottās morality can be interpreted as a bit corrupted despite of how people in the show assume it to not be. i donāt think his issue with scott is that scott is too pure for his pack.
one could say scott is the only one refusing to kill but wasnāt scott more than willing to kill peter in s1? yes, people change but if people change, then all the others may also just grow to be as unwilling to kill as scott.
it seems odd.
also, one of the lines theo says to scott in s5e10 feels a bit weird to me:
theo: But we can't all be perfect, we can't all be true alphas.
because itās something quite similar to what stiles said scott in s5e09, during a conversation we know theo was eavesdropping on.
stiles: Guess what? All of us can't be true alphas.
we know theo is supposed to be evil but evil for the sake of being evil isnāt exactly how teen wolf does villains. so if theo knew about the conversation and it makes me wonder if he was purposefully being hurtful? is it just because he doesnāt want scott on his ideal pack?
it couldnāt be just that because he acts just as hurtful towards stiles, someone who he says to want on his pack. theo doesnāt manipulate stiles into joining him, he plays into stiles fears instead and he knows heās doing so because he heard it from stiles himself.
in s5e07, stiles actually confides to theo on of his fears:
stiles: I know what my punishment is. I'm gonna lose my best friend, I'm gonna lose Scott.
and in s5e09, theo overhears this bit:
scott: You killed him? You killed Donovan? stiles: Well, he was going to kill my dad. What, was I supposed to just let him?
and theo actually knew what happened at the library. we see theo learning that donovan as a potential threat to stilesā father was more important to stiles than the imminent threat of donovan to stiles himself at the time donovan died.
the way theo seems set on having a dark pack (while throwing his work to gather said pack through the window in some in some cases) and making them all suffer a bit got me curious mostly because of this:
theo: It's the coyote part you don't notice.
if the coyote is also a trickster, if they are always hungry, then what if part of theoās actions can be explained because heās also a trickster?
iām curious about liam
so. iāve seem some discussion about liam as a possible chimera.Ā
and it takes me back to the fact back in s4e09 liamās printer goes crazy and itās never really explained why or how it goes crazy but we are led to believe it was an electrical issue.
liam tells scott about it:
scott: Hey. You okay? Hey. liam: Last night my printer went off by itself. I couldn't turn it off. I hit the cancel button but it just kept printing.
and they hear it happening again at coachās office.
we see in s5e 09 how the doctors can cause things to run on electricity to actĀ strangely (turn on and off at random, just switch on for no reason) as they arrive at the hospital and later at sinema. itās reasonable to think they can only notice it as a sign of the arrival of the doctors after they read the book.
also, liam has quite a few similarities with a couple chimeras. but they are small ones. enough to make me curious but still small sooo...
