Genuinely when Master Splinter said “I do not wish to fight. But cast a stone into the lake, and the ripples will return to you.”
Love this sewer rat
Okay so lately I've been rewriting Maxine's story right, and I wanted to share with you guys a random thought about April and Donatello.
So Donatello is a creep in the show, that is a fact, and before the writing took a nosedive into terrible shipping territory, probably for views, it was very obviously clear that April did not appreciate Donatello's behavior, right?
One thing a lot of people question is Master Splinter's place in all this, and why he didn't say something to Donatello earlier about his creepy behavior. My personal headcannon for that is very simple— April told him not to say anything to Donnie.
In general Master Splinter is very respectful of his son's space to make mistakes and grow. He's also shown to be very emotionally mature. In season two Master Splinter even teaches Donnie "how to enjoy falling down" as a metaphor for how he should stop trying to get April to like him. So why didn't he say anything to his son about his behavior?
Personally as I've already talked in this blog in other analisys of April, I think she feels deeply uncomfortable with Donatello's behavior, and is clearly ignoring it and hoping it'll go away, at least throughout season one, I feel like personally she would ask Master Splinter not to talk to Donatello about his behavior so as to not make things awkward between them, especially considering that she LIVED at the lair for a while, and Donnie's weirdness must have skyrocketed during that time, so it'd feel weird if Master Splinter saw all of that and dind't say anything, I feel like at some point he asked April how she felt, and she must have talked about her feelings, nothing in depth, but the conclusion was that she wanted to deal with Donnie on her own, and asked Master Splinter not to interfere.
That's my interpretation/explanation for why Splinter never said anything about Weirdo McCreep Donatello
Here’s my version of Master Splinter.

So I drew a picture with little Donnie, and I was looking at it and thinking "I need to hug this adorable little green bean so badly." and then I remembered
I CAN
...In a way.
It's enough.
