Alright I’m wondering if anyone can fill me in on why people seem to hate shipping Boimler and T’Lyn together. For context, the idea of them winding up together popped in my head when I was trying to think of season five predictions and I had never ever heard of anyone shipping them before. Then tonight while surfing a different tag I fell down a rabbit hole of people complaining about the ship.
And I’m just really confused because I’ve only seen like one or two people ever ship them since I’ve gotten into the Lower Decks fandom. I get most of my fandom stuff on Tumblr, numbers vary between fandoms but for Lower Decks it’s like 99%. Also I tend to avoid arguments and drama so I know next to nothing about this.
So could somebody clue me in as to why the ship is so hated? I’m kinda like the idea of them together but I feel like I’m missing something given how hated it is.
