The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
Wow. What can I say about this story? This story is a cozy sci-fi, so you are going to have a gentle time with it. We get snippets of life aboard the Wayfarer.
If I had to criticize the book, I wish the blurb was clearer that Rosemary was not the sole focus and that we got to spend a more equal time with the characters. This is book 1 of a series, so maybe we get more in the other books.
The differences between the species are mostly handled respectfully or at least with the character thinking the rude thought addressing the rudeness of the thought.
The audio book was fantastic, and my narrator did a great job with the material.
