Tlg has more depth than big budget kids films.

I wanted to write this to express my gratitude to The Lion Guard tumblr community for being such a wonderful community to interact with.

I think I joined the TLG tumblr community late 2024 when I first made for tumblr account searching for Hadestown stuff. Then I eventually typed in "the lion-" at one point and then the Lion King and Lion Guard showed up! I think one of the first posts I saw was either one by @devilsrecreation or @spinnysocks lol. It was a story or au of one of the outlanders I think-

Honestly reading your posts/aus/stories and talking about TLG with you all honestly helped get me through senior year. I didn't really talk about it with my friends much - because y'know Disney Junior show - but I started to open up a bit about it, and even showed one of my friends some of my fanfic, and they said it was pretty good! :)

I have also never written fanfiction AT ALL or even thought I would write it in the first place, since English isn't my best school subject, and I never thought I would fanficiton would be for me, outside of reading it lmao - but it's actually so much fun and I was genuinely so surprised when I started writing it this school year lol. (Also, no, none of my works are finished yet lmao. One is like, 70% written? One is mostly bullet points of ideas, and the other one is just long dialog pieces with a few little descriptions for certain scenes/moments. However, I am hoping to finish the first one over the summer :D)

And no, I will not be telling you my ao3 account, you're gonna have to find that yourselves <;) [plus it saves me and my actual account from embarrassment lol]

You guys are so creative and supportive. Thank you for being such a positive and wholesome fandom. I hope I'll still be able to be active here when college starts later this August, but seeing that @kaythefloppa, @tired-lamb, and @spinnysocks can do it, I probably can do it too.

Can we talk about this?

Personally I loved the new episode. I loved to hear the new voice actor of Zira. She did a good job. Of course it’s a shame they didn’t get the charismatic stripe of hers, but I still think that she looks fierce despite the different animation.

A lot of fans and fans of only TLK makes a lot of complaints about plot holes, but there’s really no point to me. The lion guard was not based on the books as far as I know and it wasn’t made until after now so there’s no way TLK2 would have thought to fit in Kion when the movie was made and yet I still see people writing; well Kion where were you?

Nicely put? He wasn’t even thought of yet. I know there are certain plot holes but I think they truly do their best to fit it in with TLG, so cut them some slack. Not saying you can’t come up with theories but just the complaining is a little harsh on a show based for children. Remember, like it or not it’s based for children and not us - the older fans. I still enjoy it and so should you. Please just think of their circumstances before you say; Zira is too soft. She tried to win over Kion, which meant she had to act a little soft and it’s a kid’s show. She can’t exactly rip his head of brutally.

When Simba and the others started singing the good old song I just couldn't hold in my feels.
