picture this. this is anubis before ennead were trapped in the duat, strong, very mature, both in personality and physically.

after osiris(and the rest) get trapped inside the duat / the stone, it’s like as the time went by his body began to regress back into a younger, smaller version of himself. since we know tkc!anubis was quite distraught over the fact of osiris not being there, it makes sense that his maturity & metaphysical ‘age’ also regresses back down, because of the concept that time works differently in the underworld.

i think we truly see this, mainly in the red pyramid, when sadies sees him in her ba dreams, he looks quite young. and its very prevalent with the inner turmoil that we got to see for like 5 minutes, he’s very confused (and a quite a bit reclusive, untrusting) in regards to osiris not instantly reclaiming his throne the moment he was out of the stone.

within this same scene, theres some parts which make him sound very *very* young, in mentality/maturity (unsure if this is the word that fits) at least.
